Is there a difference in the SaS shocks and springs for the 2.3 Vs. 2.7?

Most used SaS parts are off 2.7s, I want to upgrade my Base 2.3
+ Bonus question, how much will the SaS parts lift?
THANKS

thanks - yes reading just now, I dont see what part #'s are for the Base 2.3 SaS.
A little overwhelming to make sense of what to do...
Package doesn’t really matter. The difference in part numbers comes down to engine, 2/4 door and whether or not it has a tow package for the most part.

base 2.3 SAS would be the same parts as big bend 2.3 SAS parts for example If they share the same amount of doors.

right, thank you - getting that .... so I just need to match doors and engine.
I cant imagine the 2.3 & 2.7 weigh that much different...

Maybe not a lot, but I guess enough to make a difference. Is your bronco 2 or 4 door? I can look up the correct shocks for you.

The springs are more difficult because there’s about 10 different springs, and no real way to tell what options change them as far as I know. But I can lookup a similar base 2.3 build with SAS and tell you the part numbers it uses.

These numbers are for a 2.3 4 door with SAS

Front shock: MB3Z-18124-K
Rear shock: MB3Z-18125-K

Front Spring: MB3Z-5310-F
Rear Spring: MB3Z-5560-A

also remember the part numbers in the pictures for that listing of SAS take offs are not the service part numbers, those are engineering numbers which are completely different.

i mean if you need the shocks and springs. that thread covers it all, including people that moved to bils both sas and non-sas. i dont' recall but i think the ucas and arms are the same between sas and non-sas (verify that). there are a lot of takeoffs that include them too so your choice. you can reuse the hitachi bump stops.

What did you end up doing? I'm also looking into adding sas suspension to my base 2.3, most for sale are 2.7..no surprise lol. Can't seem to figure out whether they will fit.
Im going to do 255/85 R16 Falken tires first, and see how it sits
then maybe do Bilstein 5200's

whenever you have time can you please do me a favor and look up these spring numbers to see what platform the belong to. I would greatly appreciate it.

front springs MB3Z-5310-J
rear springs NB3Z-5560-E

I installed these onto the bilstein 6100 shocks and am curious. They were supposed to be for a 4dr 2.3 SAS OBX but are not the same as you listed. Maybe part numbers changed or multiple numbers for same part. 🤷‍♂️ confused.

Without a VIN for that specific OBX it’s impossible to verify. There are many different spring combinations all depending on options. 15 different front springs alone listed just for SAS
