No amber only white. Amber only when I hit the mode switch that was supplied with the lightsWhat happens if you put power to both red and yellow and ground the black?
Far out. I'll try that tonight ThanksAh, I bet if you hook up the red to power and ground the yellow it will work. I think the switch is basically switching the grounds.
Or it blows up and catches your house on fire.Far out. I'll try that tonight Thanks
Good point. I'll film it for youtube in case it's hilarious!Or it blows up and catches your house on fire.
That's exactly what I did. but the yellow light does not workIf it were me, I would just cut off the relay, switch, etc (see red X below) and rewire from that point. I see a 4th (white) wire between the relay and controller that must be what is telling the relay what mode has been selected.
FWIW This is how my bumper fog lights are wired with no relay in between.Black to ground.
Red to aux switch for white lights.
Yellow to 2nd aux switch to backlight or tie into daylight ir parking light circuit wiring.
Diode Dynamics, while a little pricier, provide quality amber backlit pods. Their lumens output is output vs. other is incredible.Looks like my only option are the rigid lights
