went online and order the hard top brackets for ADV hardtop that is coming and the parts department contacted me and told me that the brackets are on Backorder and have no ETA when they will be available...........Seriously Ford! Come on!
Is there any other way to get these basic metal brackets!
Sounds like a job (and opportunity) for the aftermarket.

i was thinking the whole time we would be getting parts from @ADV Fiberglass for mounting it to the bronco. There were still a lot of early goers that didnt get the opportunity to get the hard top prep kit and now it feels like we are paying the price for it.

Also own an early editon, non-prep kit Bronco. Parts are on order from @MangoldFordParts to knock this out. Once I dive into this, I will try to document with pictures the routing and installation of the wiper hoses, electrical hook ups, and replacing the windshield wiper controls. Whether everything works after that will be TBD.

Here's the parts list put together by Bradley @MangoldFordParts that should make this functional.

Forscan, etc TBD

Screenshot_20230513_215107_Adobe Acrobat.jpg
Had a chance to pull the Bronco apart and found my parts list from Mangold had a bunch of extra parts not needed. Also, I was missing one hose (not on the list, noted below), that runs from the reservoir under the hood to the hose that terminates at the firewall. I'm waiting for that to ship to me, so still have more to do. Sharing the parts that I ended up needing:

M2DZ-17A605-K - Dual Top Front Hose (under the hood, taps into the washer reservoir and connects to the M2DZ-17A605-D hose at the passenger firewall). Part number includes both hoses for front wipers and rear.

M2DZ-17A605-D - HOSE (runs from passenger firewall, down behind glove box, adjacent to wire harness running down passenger side and to cargo area hose M2DZ-17A605-F).

M2DZ-17A605-F - HOSE (connects to M2DZ-17A605-D and runs across the rear cargo area from passenger side to drivers side, connecting to M2DZ-17A605-G).

M2DZ-17A605-G - Lower Hose (quick disconnect hose that connects to hard top hoses, or next to the harness in the cargo panel when not used).
M2DZ-15A657-A - Wire Assembly (Connects to existing harness at rear of vehicle).

M2DZ-3F791-CB - Housing Assembly Steering Column (Front and Rear Washer Control, replaces existing, requires programming).

M2DZ-78245A26-B and M2DZ-78245A27-B - Hard Top Bracket Latch Mounts

TP50 Bolts (W721071-S450B) Quantity 6x - Secure Hard Top Bracket Latch Mounts

My expectations are that I will need to (1) connect the hose under the hood to the reservoir, (2) install the steering column controls for the wipers, and (3) program the new steering column to make the wipers work.

Still not sure if I need to swap the HVAC controls M2DZ-19980-C (Dash Control Unit, Heated Steering Wheel & Mirrors) & program those for the rear heater, so that's TBD.

Pictures from last night's efforts and this morning to follow.

Jeez. Better you than me. I just want the defrost. Let us know what you find.

Thought this might also be helpful for cross referencing part numbers above for the hoses needed:

Steering control module replaced today. Think I'm getting to the point where I'm going to need an actual hard top to test it all. Photos from today's adventures.

Sharing all photos taken, reference photos, and diagrams I've pulled together thus far. Will sit down later and pull together some step by step instructions for all.

@ADV Fiberglass take note. We're getting closer to finding out if we can retrofit the non-hard top prep kit Broncos with the parts necessary to accommodate a hard top. Just need to source a hard top with the wipers and washers to make a final determination.

Today, what I thought was last hose I needed for under the hood arrived. Turns out it's the wrong part number.

@flip can you assist with telling us which hose is the correct part number?

Here's a picture of it connected to the hose routed through the firewall.

It connects to the hose capped off that's coming off the reservoir.

For basic install - just the brackets on the roll bar. I’m sure you can ask ADV for the part numbers - I don’t have them off hand. I can dig them up.

Oh, and more of those TP50 bolts for the rear quarter/cap.

Otherwise, the parts for defrost are TBD. From my research, you need to replace the HVAC controls for the one with the rear defrost button.
Dumb question. What holds the brackets in place? Need to order bolts too?
