I hated my factory wireless charger. It would cook my iPhone to the point that it would shut down because of the temperature and not turn back on until it was cooled down enough.

Ended up taking my center console apart and just disconnected it.

Your solution looks killer might have to grab one and throw it in there. That is the perfect spot for the phone.

That looks really good and it probably works which is more than I can say about the OEM one I have.

I wonder if it would work in a 7MT Bronco....
It most likely won’t since the actual dimension of that area is different in MT

Thanks for the posts! Totally going to do this if I ever get my Bronco out of Ford's parking lot

I believe IAG has a solution that looks exactly like OEM and hides under.

Looks nice. I just got the wireless charger from Amazon. I think it was a Mabatt one. Just unscrew console and swap out panel. I’m not sure if I would be brave enough to drill into the Bronco.

You're not missing out on Ford's built in wireless charger. It absolutely does not work. If you take the case off the phone, wiggle it for a few seconds to find the sweet spot it'll charge for 2-3 minutes tops before stopping.

I'm going to 3d print a Magsafe holder. The hard part is going to be disassembling parts of the dash and center console to install it.

Mine just works every time I set my phone in there. No wiggling or jiggling or anything.

AFAIK, all existing aftermarket wireless chargers except this one require the pre-cutout in the compartment underneath the rubber mat where the OEM charger gets mounted.

My badlands with high pkg did not come with the cutout unfortunately.

Don't feel bad about not getting the factory charger... it doesn't work. Dealership couldn't make it work.
Yep same with mine. Ford has got involved. Will see what happens. When I use my charger the phone over heated an I got a warning message on the phone. I took it out of my case, which is paper thin, and it still did not work.

They have two versions with high package and without

Great idea, but for me - just speaking for myself.....

$150 will buy a lot of charge cables off Amazon.
