as a red head, I cannot put the top back without some sort of barrier...whether it be the Bestop Bimini shade or the Gearshade or the JTops.

I've driven once with the doors off. I liked it, my sister liked it....my wife HATES it. She's afraid something is going to fall out going down the freeway...I told her to stop playing with her phone

but windows off and top latched is still a good feeling. I don't mind the top all the way down since I have the JTops, still wear a baseball cap though

Tried it out last fall a couple of times. Looks good and works well for keeping the temperature down on the head and seats.

I too am susceptible to the sun....I keep a hat and sunscreen in my rig! An I love top down/off, doors off! I don't run a shade, I like the open air, but sometimes will run the top in 'safari' config to get a break from the wind.....or rain when caught out. With the top top and doors/windows off, I barely had any rain inside, driving at speed for 30 miles or so in the rain. I'm sure 4dr would be different.
