I liked my doors off and top on with my 2dr jeeps. I didn't like the sun beating down on me. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet with my bronco.

ok, so newbie question here.... what's the difference from the safari top to the mesh top?Same vibe.
It is cooler (temp wise) to run safari-style until you get a mesh top, then it's really great open-air riding without getting burnt (especially those of us with shaved heads).
But riding like you asked about between a Jeep and a Bronco, virtually same feel.
Best setup I’ve found is doors and back off. Leave the front 2 panels on. You get all the breeze and it keeps the sun off you.I liked my doors off and top on with my 2dr jeeps. I didn't like the sun beating down on me. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet with my bronco.
How do you do this if the front panels latch onto the rear shell?Best setup I’ve found is doors and back off. Leave the front 2 panels on. You get all the breeze and it keeps the sun off you.
Those 2 don’t need to be latched. No play on the panels even at 100 with a head wind. I’ve put over 3000 miles on in that configuration. How do you do this if the front panels latch onto the rear shell?
I refer to “safari style” as the soft top on and latched with the doors and all windows removed.ok, so newbie question here.... what's the difference from the safari top to the mesh top?
Great, thanks! I've wanted to try it but haven't yet. Glad to see it works! More will post up the same response. I’m not the only one running this setup.
Yes. Not sure if they are running the mid panels on a 4 door. My recommendation is for my 2 door. I’m sure someone will chime in on the 4 door.Great, thanks! I've wanted to try it but haven't yet. There are several iterations of mesh top one can buy.
I have the cheaper one from @Tricky Dick distributing that lasted all summer last year, all winter with two sleeping bags piled on top of it (for some insulation from sound and cold), and zero issues.
For the price I can buy 5 or more of them for one of the higher end ones, but as with anything, your expectations and product desire may vary.
I'm a bit biased I suppose but it's proof you don't have to spend a lot to save your scalp.I have the cheaper one from @Tricky Dick distributing
Unfortunately I don't have a specific 2dr version but I use a 4dr one on mine and it actually fits pretty decently.
