I would have chosen whiskey, but you have unfortunately spelled it wrong. A fine and true whiskey is properly spelled "whisky".
As this was not a choice, I chose rum, which unfortunately is not on the list. However, my favorite rum is a wonderful delight from Guatemala:

Regarding the spelling, I went with the US version.

Let's settle this age-old debate: whiskey vs. whisky. Whiskey that hails from America and Ireland is spelled just like that—with an "e." When the booze hails from anywhere else in the world—like Japan or Scotland—it's spelled "whisky," without an "e."

I added Rum.

Are Bourbon, Scotch, and Whisky much different from each other? Serious question.
I will provide you with a serious answer, and a good question by the way.
Whisky's from Scotland are spelled this way. A Bourbon and Rye whiskey, coming from Canada and the U.S. are spelled with the "e" in the word.
As to the difference between the three, without getting into a long winded dissertation, there are considerable differences between the ingredients used, the distilling process and of course their tastes/flavours.
I will say that all three can provide exceptional products.

Plus even within a category ie bourbon, whiskey, whisky etc there can be drastic differences.

I love some scotches and also find some scotch undrinkable..

Best I’ve ever had…Louis XIII cognac. Celebration drinks after a big contract win. Thankfully I wasn’t paying….about $5k per bottle!

in Scotland it's spelled Scotch and the W word can be silent so spelling is irrelevant
