Are Bourbon, Scotch, and Whisky much different from each other? Serious question.
Whiskey is a broad category.
Bourbon and Scotch are both whiskeys, but to be labeled as a bourbon, it has to have a certain ingredient make up and has to age in a toasted barrel, among other requirements.
Scotch of course, has to come from Scotland and has it's own rules to follow to be labeled as a Scotch.

So, for example, Jack Daniels. They do their own thing, and whatever that is, it varies from the basic requirements of being called a bourbon, so they just call it Tennessee Whiskey .... and I have no idea if it has to meet certain standards to be called a Tennessee Whiskey.

One way to divide up the Scotches is by region.
Speyside, Highlands, Islay/Isles, Lowlands are the ones I am familiar with.

My Scotch preference is for a smoky Islay.
Just about anything by Ardbeg usually works for me.

Bourbon, well , seeing what happened with Blantons, I'm keeping my latest love to myself. ;)
(You can't find Blanton's on the shelves anymore, it gets snatched up immediately ...guys fighting over it, etc etc, same for Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare.)

Yes. Scotch will make you want to die the next day and everything will still taste like scotch. Whiskey will make you wake up in jail with paper underwear on. Bourbon makes you go looking for the wifey. Cheers! 🍻

Lately, I like red wine. A good glass of Merlot or Cabernet after a long day - what can be better? The flavors are rich, and they pair well with so many meals. Any reviews of hall wines customer service? But also, I drink whiskey when I'm in the mood for something stronger. How about you guys?

When it comes to drinks, I prefer lighter options like beer and wine.
