I respectfully disagree, this country does not, in any way give a rat's backside about mental health and real treatment for those in need. Look at all the substance abuse, homelessness, school shootings, depression, suicide , ect..Unfortunately, it's been 40+ years of better education, dramatically increased punishments, etc. They have been effective at dramatically reducing the incidents of drunk drivers, but there will always be the hard-headed ones. A technology that can prevent a problem rather than punish it is a better approach. Just the cost of education would be more than the cost of the sensor.
There isn't enough money to be made in mental health, and it doesn't fund political campaigns because it's not polarizing like gun control.
