Drove my Bronco to Oregon from Texas for work. One reason was to avoid renting a pricy car but two was to take this sick ride cross country and get dirty.
Spent the weekend out in Summer Lake, OR and drove up the Winter Rim to get some good views.

I love Oregon's outdoors. Most beautiful state I have been to. My wife and I went through Umpqua national forest to crater lake. It was such a great trip. The water at Crater lake is an unbelievable blue. Photos do not do it justice.

If you get a chance, the Wallawa Whitman NF, Baker City, LaGrande and the Snake River are worth seeing. The Sawtooth mountains are a personal favorite.

If you venture north, Joseph & Hell's Canyon are incredible. Take to gondola to the top of the mountain over looking Wallowa Lake. There is a good reason it's called the Oregon Alps.
