Hey there folks. Have a 2023 wildtrak, no real issues, just picked up the car from the dealer yesterday after having a rear window module replaced, windshield washer pump and lines replaced due to a leak and an oil/filter change.
I didn’t notice a noise at the dealer when starting after a remote start but now it’s making a noise on start after sitting and it’s NOT a cam phaser. I’ve owned a 2017 f150 and 2018 expedition both having cam phaser issues.
I’m also an owner of a self bullet proofed 6.0 power stroke, apparently I like punishment but I’m also mechanically inclined.
At first I thought it was the starter but you can shut off and it immediately starts with no noise. The car is under warranty but I’m tired of dealers spinning me some BS, life’s a lot easier when you’re a step ahead.
Your help is appreciated and I’ll upload a video.
Thank you

That sounds normal to me, my truck makes the same noise after it has been sitting until it has run for a little bit. I think it's the check ball for the pcv or something like that. I'm just over 5K miles as well.

It’s the noise as it’s starting. Not all the funky noises once ignition is on. It has never made that noise after 16k miles and is super loud

Ok, that does sound strange, I don't think I've heard that noise before. It almost sounds like the teeth of a gear rubbing on something.
