They got a boatload of shiny new MRAPs and Blackhawks that we payed for as well.
Wait until they find out the maintenance required to keep an MRAP or turboshaft running. Joke's on the Taliban, because they'll have to spend all their newfound Chinese lithium cash on American-made spare parts from Navistar and Sikorsky/GE.

Ford Steps Into the Chips Business
The auto maker and GlobalFoundries agree to develop, potentially produce semiconductors in U.S. under strategic pact

Part of the agreement with GlobalFoundries is intended to enhance near-term chip supplies for Ford, which has been hit especially hard by the supply crunch relative to many other auto makers. The joint-development work is aimed at producing higher-end chips that would go into vehicles several years out, Mr. Gray said.

Great News, Texas Instruments and North Texas to the rescue.

Texas Instruments Chooses Sherman for New $30B Semiconductor Chip Site
At full build-out, the 4.7 million-square-foot semiconductor fabrication plant will be the largest electronics production facility in Texas and among the largest manufacturing plants of any kind in the U.S.

Okay, so it will take until 2025 to be completed, but at least we are getting some major capacity coming online in the US, thank you Texas.
