I'm new to the forum. I just took delivery of my new '23 Outer Banks. I added the 4" Fabtech upper control arm and spacer lift kit and would like to keep the 18" OBX wheels for now. Based on what I have been reading, the 285/75 R18 seems to be the widest 35" tall tire (11" wide) that will fit the 7.5" wheel. Not concerned about the tire height fitting, but will the factory wheel offset of +55 be a problem? I measured about 2" between the Fabtech control arm and the stock 32"x10" tire, so in theory I could go to 12" wide with an inch to spare, assuming you can squeeze 12" onto the stock 7.5" wheel. It appears some have done this, but the 11" wide tire seems like the best compromise with the stock wheels. Feedback appreciated! Thanks..

@Mark Ski. Welcome to the forum! Glad to have you on board.

12.50" wide tire will fit on your OBX wheels no problem. Hope this helps.

Can't wait to see some pics of your rig!

I would go with the recommended wheel width that is listed with the tire. Go on their website and see what they recommend. The 285/75/18 Toyos pictured below have a wheel width recommendation of 7.5-9.5".

Here are my 285/75/18 on my Sasquatch with a 1" front level lift. This tire is at least an inch taller than the factory Sasquatch "35". The wheels are 18x9 with a +12 Offset.

I have an Outer Banks with Nitto 35x12.5 on the factory wheels and it was no issue whatsoever.

Did you have to level the front or do anything for clearance for the 35x12.5?

Both very nice looking Broncos! The sasquatch is a 3", right? I should be good either way with a 4" lift. Good to hear the 285/75/18's are a true 35". I need to fill up those wheel wells a bit..

Thank you both for your feedback.

Discount Tire: Just an FYI... I was going to order 35x12.5x18 Milestar Patagonia XT's from the nearest Discount Tire near me here in FL and they told me that per company policy, they cannot mount a 12.5" wide tire on a 7.5" wide wheel. I then asked if I could order them and pick them up and have someone near me mount them and they told me if they know I am mounting them on 7.5" wheels, they can't even sell them to me! Really?

Anyway, I may have to settle for the 11" wide 285/75R18's, but was looking for the wider stance. Only other option would be to swap out wider wheels as well, which I was hoping to avoid.

@Mark Ski I do apologize for the misinformation. When I originally checked the fitment I thought I confirmed a good fitment on the wheel width. My mistake.

I did double check different options size wise. There are options in the 295/70R 18 and 35X11.50R 18. Something to consider. That way you won't have to change wheels, and you can keep some of the width that you are after.

Obviously you were able to find a local shop to install these. have you had any issues with the 12.5" on the 7.5" wheels? I'd like to go this route but may need to find an mom and pop shop to install them.

Ha! My Ford dealership did all of my work and suspension. I have driven this setup for a while now. I have never had any issue at all.

I will check with my dealership to see if they can mount them, but I am ordering the 35x12.5R18's based on how yours looks in the photos, which I think is perfect with the stock OBX wheels. I will post some pics when I am done. Again, thanks for your input!
