I commented on another post but has anyone cut the head off of this grommet to reveal a hole for passing wiring etc through the firewall cleanly?

Are you a 2.3L as well? Was looking for a clean way to pass wires through while installing my ghost antenna. The videos I've seen are all 2.7L and the tab up and to the left for them doesn't have the brake lines going through it.

Yes, Mine is a 2 Door Manual (2.3 of course) Badlands Sasquatch.

There's an oval shaped plug on the driver's side under the dash. You'll find it under the hood on the firewall opposite the fuse panel.

He's got a manual so that grommet has a line going through it.

@jdznutz,
I think your idea would work. I would pull the grommet out and see what lines up on the other side first.

Yea that's my point with the 2.3L MT - it looks like this.
