I never had any trouble with mine...I like the feature....the computer issue for removal is an easy work around in forscan.I'm talking about the other way, removing it. My understanding is (I haven't tried anything, would wait until it goes out prolly), the computer expects it so just disconnecting it won't work.
auto dismantling outfit...try google, or car-part.comWhat's LKQ?
All things considered, that is a better deal than many new Broncos, but I am sure that they can come down further. It's barely broken inran across this lightning blue FE - in case anyone is looking for one. Based on some very useful information and links on this post passed it by, but it is a great color.![]()
Possibly too late now but one wordThank you all for your input and great insight.
we decided to get the LB FE mostly because I love the color and it appears to have all the options I want. I will monitor the suspension and engine closely and I see the HOSS 3.0 is a possible upgrade down the road. This engine has 18k miles and sounds good, so we are hoping for no issues. It appeared to me that most of the failures happened at lower miles.
thanks again for the advice and input.![]()
I did think of that. It is still covered by the 5year /60,000 mile powertrain warranty. As for the bumper-to-bumper 3year/ 36,000 mile warranty that has always been vitally worthless to me. Anytime I would try to use it. I would have to wait forever to get it into Ford and then they would end up charging me for things that weren’t covered anyway. In my experience, it’s easier just to make the repairs myself and know it’s done right. I try to avoid dealership at all costs.Possibly too late now but one word
Plastic
No no not that word from The Graduate, this word
WARRANTY
The expiration in mere days or months if not already based on the FE original in service date. Did you buy an extended warranty? You are halfway there with mileage but closer to end with months.
Thanks! We have twins. Our has 18k too.Welcome to the club! No hardtop or other major issues on mine. Got it used in December of '22. Mine has about 18k on it.

We got the black interior, we saw both, but I kind of like the molle panel on the back of the front seats and only saw it on the black. I was also concerned about the lighter color looking dirtier faster.Does yours have the navy gray or black interior? When I got mine, there was one of each on my radar. I really do like the black, but I generally go for interiors that have something other than just black (392 is black and red, BMW is black and tan, 95 wrangler is green and tan), so I went for the navy/gray. I think someone on here once referred to it as the 'Karen interior', lol.
I like it, but I'd love it if they would have offered Roast or something with a darker brown option for the FE.
The "Karen" interior is the Black option. Remember back in the fall of 2020, there was a single interior on the FEs. Reservation holders whined when they saw the renders. The faux outrage over the renders caused Ford to capitulate and offer the black interior to appease the whiny reservation holders. Needless to say, the outrage was misplaced as the renders were not accurate to the actual Navy/Gray interior.Does yours have the navy gray or black interior?
