Nice. I bought a double but only mounted 1 tube so I can open the hood if I need to. Can I order just a bracket to mount the extra tube to the other side Or do I have to order the package?

If you ordered a double you were given sufficient hardware to mount 2 on one side OR 1 on each side.

I'm in the same boat as DrewBronc21. I bought a double as well and was wondering the same. Since we already have a double can we just order the bracket, and extra hardware if needed to mount to the site, without buying the single outright?

There is no need to. If you ordered a double you have sufficient hardware in the kit to either put 2 holders on ONE side or one rod holder on either side.

Doubles can have 2 holders on one side or 1 holder on either side. We designed the kits that way.

Been eyeballing these but I’m unsure how well it’ll handle trout rods (shorter rods) I live in Ohio and do a lot of fishing in PA and NY.

Just curious if anyone has insights into how well it holds a rod that doesn’t come all the way through the bottom of the holder.

Not from experience with this particular product, but I use these type of canopy bungees on my shorter rods when traveling. I would use these with any sized rod if I was entering the highway.

I will throw one of my freshwater spinning set ups in the holder and report back. I also use small bungee for extra security.
