This looks like a concept based on their Tokyo market. Toyota could design an original FJ40 inspired modular concept and have a home run. It takes time to engineer these platforms and it seems like multiple manufacturers are looking to repackage what they have to capture the off road excitement that Bronco has reinvigorated.

From it’s size, it looks like a Bronco Sport competitor. Also, has a bit of Honda Element going on with it. Lose the rear doors and it would get interesting.

From this angle the Compact Cruiser EV appears quite small, like it is only intended for the Japan market or others that have traditionally smaller size vehicles.

Toyota unveiled their future EV lineup yesterday. One interesting item was an FJ Cruiser inspired "Compact Cruiser EV".

Will it ever see the light of day?, will it ever be imported to the US? time will tell.

if they are smart, a Land Cruiser redesign at the price point of a Wrangler Rubicon or Bronco Badlands would be a home run. That FJ concept can stay as the Bronco Sport, Honda Element competitor, make the Land Cruiser the flagship which is obtainable. The storied history and modern capability.. I’d be interested.
