Have found that the odometer records miles in flat towing mode behind the RV same as if the Bronco is driving under it’s own power.

Has anyone had a different experience, or is there a method to keep miles from accumulating in flat tow mode?

Are you getting out of the ACC mode? That is the last step in the set up. That is the only time my accumulated miles back in the days when I was trying to figure out the electronic brake boost.

I have towed mine over 2,000 miles this year and mine doesn’t add mileage while being towed. About to connect up and tow today. Your doing something wrong.

That ACC tip is probably the key, thanks!

Mine with a 7-speed doesn't rack up miles in TOAD Mode. But I don't have ACC either like all of you rich guys LOL.

Sorry, I was referring to accessory mode like when you push the Engine Start/Stop button without pressing the brake pedal.

Couple of things to help remember to get out of the ACC Mode.
1) Leave the AC on in the recirculate mode, if the AC control lights are still on you are still in ACC mode.
2) Carry the key fob with you when you get out of the Bronco, if it double honks it is still in ACC mode.
At my age I need all the help I can get.
