All you really need are shift lights. Set the staging to flash at whatever RPM you want to be shifting at, and focus on the driving. When the flashing gets your attention, itā€™s time to shift.

I installed these on my Focus ST and forgot about the tach. I was already used to shift lights from racing bikes, however.

These lights are unobtrusive and can be mounted where they donā€™t obstruct your view. Highly recommended if you canā€™t live with what you have. Since Iā€™m not racing my Bronco or wanting to do pulls on the street, Iā€™m not feeling the need for this on my rigā€¦yet. Too many other bits Iā€™m working on installing!

Actually thinking about the test drive I took in the dealer 7MT demo unit I don't know if I even looked at the tach...
I didn't look at it. The powerband had a great feel, didn't feel the need.

We have now had our Bronco for a month and have put 2k miles on it. The tach is a non issue! Don't even think about it!
Same...I don't even look at the speedo either

A pillar runs down the sides of the windshield. Pretty common place to stick a few gauges. If you really want an analog gauge that's an option.
Yeah...oil pressure, temp, boost, etc....
A tach is something you want straight in front of you. That's the point I was trying to make.

Iā€™d prefer an aftermarket HUD. I wonder if thereā€™s a quality one out there. Wish more cars had that.

I'm hoping Ford does an update in the future that gives us a MUCH better tach in the display... it's all software, should be easy!

Iā€™ve been thinking about this tach thing all day and every vehicle I have had with a manual over the years had some sort of tach whether it was stock or I added an aftermarket and to be honest I never really look at the tach even if I am running the shit out of the vehicle, I just shift when it feels/sound right and unless you have the stereo cranked up or havenā€™t driven a manual for very long you shouldnā€™t ever need more than the tach that is currently in your dash so no I am not cluttering up my Bronco dash or A pillar with extra junk that is already in the dash.

Zero chance that would ever be installed in any of my vehicles...

Less of a chance (if that's even possible) that I would spend any money on a Chinese website titled... BangGood. Their name alone tells you how this scenario is going to end.
If I typed ā€œBangGoodā€ into the search bar, Iā€™d probably get sidetracked looking at everything else that popped up, and then forget to order my parts.

Or use a Banks iDash. They work on any OBDII, but have more features for engines Banks supports.

THat would be the primary reason I would get the tune.... if it offered a better tach.

I RARELY use it, even if it were excellent, but when I do, I'm approaching the upper limits and want to know exactly where I'm at.
