Ford Offering $1000 to Jeep Owners Who Buy a Bronco

JAN 24, 2024

Ever since the Ford Bronco returned to the market for the 2021 model year, the off-road SUV has had its sights squarely set on the Jeep brand. Ford hasn’t had too much difficulty tempting loyal fans away from the seven-barred grille, but it's looking to make the decision even easier in 2024 by way of a new incentive program. Known as the Jeep Competitive Conquest Bonus Cash offer, Jeep owners in certain regions can now qualify for up to $1000 off the price of a Bronco or Bronco Sport.

Not that this affects me but can't find anything on the interwebs about it ... @flip any truth to this?

Might be direct offers. I put in 60007 and looked at the incentives portal and it's not showing anything. That said, I'm not very good at using some of these sales tools so take it for what it's worth. They segregate our communications and what we can see somewhat based on region, market, zone.

If someone got an offer and it had a program number, I could probably look it up.

In 2023, Wrangler outsold Bronco by approximately 51K units. Considering the production issues Ford ran into last year, I have a feeling the two vehicles will have much similar sales figures this year.

The biggest takeaway is that Wrangler essentially lost 101,000 sales to Bronco.

Yes, I know that there are many other factors involved, but certainly a big chunk of those sales were taken from Jeep.

I just talked to my dealer about this offer since I have a 2008 Rubicon and my 24 Bronco Badlands is scheduled to be delivered next week (Phoenix AZ market area). She looked it up and said I qualify for $1000 and all I need to do is bring my current registration and title as proof that I've owned the Jeep longer than 30 days. WAHOO, I think I'll use the money to upgrade to the performance tune.

Jeep sales continue to drop and I would opine they will keep dropping. The overall quality, dated powertrain, lack of innovation, running on past reputation, crappy dealers, it is all taking a toll.

I bailed on a 2019 Rubicon that was heavily modified to buy a Bronco with the exception of a few small things that I miss (and will add as time goes on), I have never looked back.

The Wrangler has a massive head start on the Bronco and for the numbers to be that close is telling.

Let’s go Bronco!!

Although we do need Jeep around to help keep the pressure on FoMoCo.

Although if they run it like Mustang program they will keep innovating regardless of the competition

in the same boat. There still are things that are better in the jeep, but overall the bronco is better. The only big thing I miss is my diesel, it was awesome. Either way they don’t make that anymore. I’m kind of happy not wondering if my hinges will corrode away.

It's all marketing hogwash really.....they can easily give you $1,000 off the price of any Bronco. Dealerships.....Grrrrrr.
Not really, though. $1,000 off a very limited set of potential customers is a lot less money overall than $1,000 for everyone.

Maybe this is a Pandora's box and sometimes ignorance is bliss, but I'd be interested on your takes about what is better in the Jeep Wrangler.

What dealership? I'm also AZ area and was thinking about bugging mine about the offer and have a Jeep at the moment. Did they happen to specify how long the offer is good for? Mine was just blended this week so hoping a February delivery.

Maybe this is a Pandora's box and sometimes ignorance is bliss, but I'd be interested on your takes about what is better in the Jeep Wrangler.
The list is short...very:

1. Instrumentation. The Jeep off-road pages are better and have more gauges (including oil pressure) and GPS coordinates.

2. Headlights. The Jeep LED headlights are much brighter than the Broncos. The Bronco taillights and backup lights are much better.

3. Windows. The full framed windows of the Jeep are much more stable than the Broncos.

4. Off-road Capability. A solid axle vehicle will always have more capability than IFS particularly while rock crawling due to the weaknesses and potential for breakage in IFS. But there are caveats that come with it. Most owners spend 95% + of their time just driving. No SFA vehicle will ever ride/drive as well as an IFS vehicle.

That's it. The Bronco is better in every other way (at least for me). There are too many negatives about the Wrangler to post...but, lack of engine power, auto start/stop battery failures, poor oil filter housing/cooler design, poor valve train design, poor front axle design, poor suspension components design, poor engine heat control, poor locker design, inability to solve paint corrosion issues are a few and something that is not rocket science...

Inability to design a rear window defogger where the power cable will stay connected for longer than one use.
