ok, the worst flu season in the last 10 years only killed 2/3rds of what Covid-19 has, and that was over an entire Flu season with an already endemic disease. Covid has not been active during the flu season yet, which it is expected to be extremely more virulent then, and is not yet endemic, but it will be. Maybe not by this flu season, but by next for sure without a 100% effective vaccine. The flu annually kills the same number of people. And put more in the ICU. So should we shut the country down every flu season?
that is to say, that that worst flu, over its 6 most active months, and already endemic, only succeeded in killing 2/3 of what this disease has without being endemic or active during its most problematic months.
While I generally agree with opening things back up, and telling people they need to make their own decisions and they are in charge of their own health and safety, spreading bullshit to support your point does no-one any good.
