Has anyone successfully gotten the change to allow data entries into the nav program without errors using the spreadsheet changes?

When I enable this it works, but also nav buttons and setup now show corrupted words.

Also, should this also allow entries while in motion in Waze in Android Auto?

I have a 2022 OBX lux.

I've had that problem and wasn't sure the exact line code change that caused it. maybe that's it? lol

I used the steps in the spreadsheet with no issues. I don't think it works for CarPlay/Android Auto though, just the built in Ford nav.

Will redo and comment back Doesn't seem like something that can be messed up though. Thanks for the comments.

Can anyone confirm that this Nav entries while in motion still actually can be successfully enabled?

I am reading that this is now non-programmable with the latest Sync 4 updates
and others have said that after installing, multiple resets after this change will actually enable this "upgrade".

I have the issue with the letters KIP added to every on-screen nav button and other items scrambled after making the change.

I had the same issue after the latest update. I switched back to as built in forscan for that particular mod and the nav went back to normal. i tried to reenable entry in motion and got the messed up words again so went back to stock and left it.

I had this happen and then I think I reset the module and it fixed it....I'm gonna go try this again to see.

From what I understand and after trying to find a workaround, Sync 4 newer ota (Version 22228) or newer have made this change non-functional.

If anyone can make this work, please reply and also update the Forscan reference spreadsheet.

Curious if anyone has made any progress with the KIP issue? The master spreadsheet should be updated to note that this feature is now broken.

It’s ridiculous that my passenger can’t do nav entries while we’re under way. These nanny systems at so f’ing stupid. But I can play with the sound system settings all I want.

Yep its really frustrating. I don't use the built in nav, but do use a usb stick with uncompressed audio files on it for audio. I cant browse that source while driving so literally have to pull over to change albums or artists. This forscan change fixes that, but the KIP text corruption is a problem for sure.

Wow I'm glad I found/read this thread while sitting in the driver seat with my laptop hesitating about doing this one... last... Forscan tweak... after reading this, I think I'm going to quit while I'm ahead with these 10 tweaks:
  1. Added Rock Crawl GOAT mode (to Wildtrak)
  2. Disabled Honk/Honk door-close outside of car with engine on
  3. Disabled Ding/Ding/Ding key-in ignition chime
  4. Disable Ding/Ding/Ding at startup
  5. Disabled driver & passenger seatbelt chime
  6. Disabled door ajar chime
  7. Turn Signal Volume down
  8. Full signal to rear pod speakers
  9. Removed factory EQ settings for new amp
  10. Moved warning chime sounds (parking sensors etc) to head unit built-in speaker rather than blasting through new amplified speakers.
I'm so happy with how much less noisy the car is. I now realize how many tones and chimes there were. My car now treats me like an adult.

Forscan.... wow. I was very hesitant to learn about and mess with this hacker nonsense, but... for $60... welcome to Bonusville, population... me.
