I would like to know if any Bronco owners have used gas which has been stored with Stabil? I store about 15 gallons of 91 Octane, Non Ethanol, every year with Stabil. I live rurally and use it in all of my 2 cycle engines (Chainsaw, riding mower, push mower, tiller, etc.) This year I scarcely used my snow blower since we had no winter to speak of. As a result i have more fuel stored than I usually do. Stabil is fine in the 2 cycle engines up to 2 years. Does anyone have experience or advice on this? I tried it once in my 2013 Explorer and it threw oxygen sensor codes but worked fine. I am running the 2.7 engine in my Badland.

I have used Stabil for years on my other two supercharged toys when they've been stored for the winter and have never had issues. The only thing to keep in mind, I remember reading something from Roush that stated that Stabil can lower the octane of the gasoline. That is something to be mindful of with boosted engines.

With my other two cars when I take them out of storage, I tend to be light-footed and keep the cars out of boost until I burn off that tankful. Those two cars have large V8s, so the boost doesn't really come on until you really get on them.

With the 2.7L in my WildTrak, it doesn't seem to take much to see boost being applied, I can't imagine it being any different with the 2.3L.

I don't know how true Roush's claim is, however, I have switched over to Seafoam over the past couple of years when storing the cars before winter since I have been told that it doesn't affect the octane in the fuel. You can always add a bottle of octane booster to be safe.

I used it in my Saturn Sky Redline Turbo for years w/o issue in fact the year of COVID it was not driven at all and ran perfectly fine. It was also 90 Octane.

I tried it years ago and had nothing but problems & haven't used it since. Others have had positive experiences.

I've used Stabil's "Marine" version in everything from lawn mowers, generators, ATVs, outboard motors and several cars/trucks w/o issue. With that being said, I have not had a need to use it in the Bronco. IMO you'll be fine to add a few gallons at a time to say a half tank of fresh fuel.

I used the blue marine Stabil for years in everything I own from weed wackers to my vehicles along with ethanol-free 90-octane gas. But I recently switched to PRI-G after thorough research on fuel stabilizers. Also now that I did a Procal tune on my 2.7, I have to add an octane boost to the 90-octane for a 93-octane ethanol free fuel.

I had problems with Stabil in my UTV, ATV, boat and motorcycle. The gas was yellow after one year. I use Star Brite Star Tron for all my gas engines.

I would not put anything in the fuel, especially if easily drained.....

6 mth old fuel is fine so is 1 year. This is not the u ltra low grade dirty fuel avail up til 90's. The infamous crap that burned out BMW V8 cylinder bores.

Most systems are sealed 100% so no evap. Most bikes and garden equip can be drained. Worst case a dollop of octane boost if concerned lost some of its kick.
