I believe there is a bushing there and the bolt is tightened to the middle of that bushing. Can you spin the washer? If it’s loose it’s definitely not right lol. I vaguely remember having the same thought when I changed my oil and looked around.

Washer is tight to the metal center rubber just isolates the axle housing.

Does the front axle/diff have some accommodation for a little up and down movement? Is that why the factory metal engine skid has that big hole right under the diff? My aftermarket skid has no hole or accommodation for up and down diff movement…🤔

Good question. Always wonder why they left a hole under the lowest, most important thing. Some aftermarket have them too.

Maybe to tuck up tighter for a better ground clearance measurement though getting hung up on the hole while simultaneously whacking the diff doesn’t sound too great.

You just need to step up to 37's ;)

I have 33.5" tires and even they left the wheel well looking a bit open after throwing the Badlands shocks and springs in. That is only a 0.6" lift.
