This is way cool, didn't even know I needed this! But when that hot sun hits in July/Aug....

The obvious question that I don't see answered on your site or here: can you use the soft top normally with this installed?
YES, you can use your OEM soft top over the GearShade mesh! It does not interfere.

Anyone happen to know or guess if the SMS Exposed Racks would work with this?

We are not 100% sure about that brand. But here is a Bronco that was at SEMA. It has a rack and our top.....

If you are serious, the answer is because it would kind of ruin it...but if you must have it, the BesTop/Ford version has a bar across the middle. I ordered the GearShade because it doesn't have the bar....it makes for a much, much better product.
I was serious. I was just hearing alot of people complaining about the sagging or flapping in the wind too much, since the bronco has such a big open design. By prop rod, I was thinking it would be just a thin fiberglass or aluminum bow that slots in across the middle. I guess people wont be using these types of tops when there is any weather because the Bronco interior isnt as made for it as say my old CJ that I would run a bikini top all winter sometimes in Ohio. But I would often have issues with snow piling or rain pooling, my fix was to park on a slope or a curb.

Zippered pockets are for stuff you don’t want flying around while you have top and doors off….ie beach permit, parking permit, transponder, heck..throw your bronco keys on there and not have to worry about it being in your pocket.
I just use the center storage or glove box for all that. Just don't like solid triangles in my "sky view" and all that stuff is already stored. Just not for me I guess.

Fine….. I’m going to be financially ruined after I buy everything for my Bronco. Ordered ;)
Mine will probably arrive in 11 months. I'm already saving so I can buy everything at once. That way my neighbors will think I'm selling dope.

Few pics of mine on. Also the flapping thing is just insane to me. Yes its going to flap some a 70mph but its not bad and way better than when you take it off and its just air going by. And the other brands have a plate that goes across no way I'm dealing with that over a little flapping. Talk about 1st world problems.

The gap in the front is just right. You can let the top up and down without touching the mesh top.

Here is a little more information for those asking about a version for the hard top:

The hardtop version is causing some difficulties. We are working on it, but the 4D Bronco has so many latches and twist locks we fear it may not become a reality to leave the mesh top on while using the hardtop. Our goal was to have a mesh top that does not have to be removed to use the hardtop. But the mesh would look like swiss cheese with access holes.

Our soft-top version will work on all Broncos, but you would have to remove the mesh to use the hardtop latches. If you don't mind taking the mesh off every time, then the soft top will work for you. Should take less than 1 min to take the mesh off after the initial install has been done. You will be able to leave on all of the hardware. Then you can stow the bungee cords in one of the pockets.

With that being said, you "could" drop one side of the mesh to reach your arm up and latch the panels. Then reattach the mesh. Everything clears the hardtop except for the spot where the rear hardtop cap bolts on and the center front bungee cord. All of which are not needed is you have the hardtop installed.

You can also leave the rear cap on and install and remove the mesh.

Hello everyone! We want to share a little about our products and our company. We have been making Wrangler sunshade tops since 2012 and MADE IN THE USA. Our tops feature two zippered storage pockets, built right into the mesh, above the driver and front passenger heads. We also offer custom digital printing, right on the mesh!

We now have a new mesh top just for the 6G Bronco! This is a none factory alternative for the Ford/Bestop mesh top.

Currently offer a top for the 4D with the soft-top. For those with the hardtop; you can use the soft-top version of our mesh, but you will have to remove the mesh to reinstall the hardtop. This will take less than one min to do. We also offer a 2D mesh top for the soft-top. This version is available now, and we are working on something specifically for the hardtop. But again, the soft-top version will work with the hardtop if you remove the mesh.

We invite you to check out our site and to stalk our IG page. IF you have any questions please DM us on IG or FB.

Love this and will definitely be purchasing one in the future. I also just wanted to point out that "Wildtrak" on the website is misspelled as "Wildtrack".

How about the 2D? Will it work with the HT? I also plan on getting a bestop soft top in the future. I cancelled my Bimini on my factory order to go with the good guys! 😉

We have been invited to a Ford dealership about 1hr away from us, to test out the GearShade on a 2D! We will be heading there on 12/22. We will be taking photos and doing lots of testing! We will be posting photos by the end of the week.
