I know others have posted here about GearShade mesh tops in the past, but I wanted to share my experience. First, these things are GREAT! I missed not having a sunglasses holder and the zippered pockets are perfect. I emailed them about availability - they happened to have one in stock and got it to me in 2 days - I wanted it before a road trip. It was super easy to install by myself - although I did have to call them a couple times. My confusion was related to having the Hard Top prep kit installed, where the plates are installed on top of the doors. I also had never used a well-nut before. They were great in answering my questions and making sure it was all good.

How is it at high speed…lots of flapping? Are they running a Black Friday / Cyber Monday deal?

Not much flapping at all for me at around 60MPH - haven't been on the highway with the top down yet. On a windy day, it sounded a little like tin-foil up there, but was not bad at all.

Thanks! I just ordered one in black. Red would have been cool with my inbound Rapid Red...but no telling what shade of red they are selling.

The colors are all on GearShade's website. I took my macbook pro outside and the blue is like 98% same color as Velocity Blue. I was surprised. Let's hope it's still true when I receive it lol.

Really interested in this for mine as well. Can you share a picture to show how close the color match is to the velocity blue when you get it? Not sure about getting the blue or black, but I've got awhile before it's top down weather again!

No, it’s literally made of mesh. Imagine goth fishnets made of plastic above you and that’s what you get.

Love these Gearshades - really well made and easy to install. I even found a way to keep it on under my MIC hardtop. Easy to undo bungees and reach under to undo hardtop latches. Very solid on an open air drive - doesn't flutter. Overall very pleased (got the same blue color).
