Seen like GM will beat no neck Jim Fartley to the ladder frame midsize SUV market.

Not acceptable when Ford already has Everest for sale overseas! Allowing Toyota dominates the market is the dumbest move Jim Farley no neck ever did! Giving free money to Toyota...

Oh wait Jim Fartley used to work for Toyota!

Where is your loyalty Jim Farley-chinese-ev-loving creep?

My mom had one of the little ones from 1984. It had the wimpy 2.8l V6 and a 5 speed manual transmission. It only lasted a few years when she traded it in for a GMC Sierra 1500 regular cab short bed 4x4 pickup.

Later ones with the 4.3 had considerably more pep. Still not a race car but I had no issues getting my '99 SLS 2-door through pretty much anything.

Really? you can't? Well, at least the cybertrash stands out like a sore thumb. They didn't even have to label that one for us.

All in, the Tesla's a "forever vehicle" that won't rust, is bulletproof, has rear steering, and will drive you to the hospital if you happen to have a heart attack. NONE of the other cookie-cutter cars in this list have ANY of those features.

They should dump the Buick badge, bring back Pontiac and build it here.

I think I'd like a 6 pack of whatever you're smoking. Forever vehicle my ass!!!! A quick search on the Googleator brought up this.

The Tesla Cybertruck has faced significant early issues, including multiple recalls for safety defects like stuck accelerators, falling body panels, and windshield wiper failures. Owners have reported structural issues, such as rust, software bugs, significant range loss in cold, and low-speed steering issues. Other complaints include poor rearview visibility and long-term durability concerns.

Key Safety and Mechanical Recalls & Issues
Accelerator Pedal: A faulty pad design can detach and cause the pedal to get stuck, which can lock the accelerator in place.
Windshield Wiper Motor: The motor for the single, large wiper can fail completely, significantly reducing visibility in rain.
Body Panels/Trim: Adhesive issues have led to recalls for exterior trim and panels (such as the trunk bed or cantrail) becoming loose and potentially falling off.
Drive Inverter: A faulty drive inverter can cause a loss of power to the wheels.
Rearview Camera: A significant delay in the backup camera image upon engaging reverse.

Design and Functional Issues
Rust/Corrosion: The stainless steel exterior is prone to showing surface rust, orange rust spots, and fingerprints.
Range Limitations: The battery can suffer a 40–50% decrease in range in freezing temperatures.
Off-Road/Traction: The truck has been reported to get stuck in soft surfaces like sand and snow.
Software/Electronics: Frequent bugs, such as small font sizes for warning lights or malfunctioning touchscreen features, have been reported.
Water Issues: Electrical issues have been reported after car washes.
Charging and Battery: Users have reported lower-than-advertised charging speeds and instances where the battery suffered permanent damage if allowed to drain to zero.

Durability and Build Quality
Panel Gaps: Irregular gaps and misaligned panels have been noted by owners.
Structural Creaking: Reports of rattling and creaking noises from the cabin and doors.
Fragile Trim: The plastic exterior trim is considered weak.
Warped Windshields: Some vehicles have reported windshield defects.

Operational Challenges
Poor Visibility: The design results in limited rearward visibility.
Difficult Charging: The truck's size makes it difficult to use some existing charging stations.
Delayed Features: Some software features, like full Autopilot or Full Self-Driving (FSD), were not available at launch, despite being paid for.

And finally they are as attractive as a Pontiac Aztek! 😉

This, coming from a Bronco owner?! :) :) :)

That said, I'm REALLY HAPPY that the Bronco was not designed by committee, that the quirks were left, and that the ethos of the original truck was--in my mind--captured.

Looks like my wife’s Equinox. All of their suvs look the same. When we were at the dealer they had a tracker, blazer, equinox all lined up. Couldn’t tell the difference.
I like the interior and exterior design language they all look sharp and similar.....too bad about the 4 bangers only. Colorado with a color match topper that has side window looks similar.

Like pretty much every new vehicle with wheels tucked in the wells for aero and fuel efficiency testing up sizing is a huge upgrade to stance and look.

I'm so glad I am old enough to remember what real cars looked like. Buick did not look like a Chevy, Lincoln did not look like a Ford, and Chrysler did not look like a Dodge. Now every Mid-Sized SUV, Full Size Pickup look the same and American cars are almost a thing of the past.

If the top and doors aren't easily removable, than it's just another lifted station wagon.

I want a full size, 2500 frame based 4x4 with a V8 (or diesel if they got rid of DEF) with a towing capacity northward of 10k pounds and removable top and doors and I'll switch! I'm ok with leaf springs if it gets the towing capacity up there!

#metoo, I remember reading many years ago about people complaining that all the cars looked the same. There was a comment something to the effect of how many different shapes of an airplane wing do you see?

Point being for fuel economy there is really only one shape to get through the air to provide the least resistance and that's why all cars really do pretty much look the same. Chalk it up to fuel economy standards!

Don't be putting my side-hustle on blast!
Highly doubt you would be a common bank robber. I have you pegged as a “ demanding three parachutes , one million in unmarked bills ,and jumping out of a commandeered air liner “ sort.

I had a 2 wd 1978 K5 Scottsdale Blazer back in the day. Bought it used in '83 and sold it around '87. Lots of rust forming when I bought it.
