Oh no doubt, anyone that is determined enough can for sure get it, but not without making a lot of noise and taking a while to do it, no safe is 100%.

It is inside a locked Vehicle, inside the console. And secured in a mount. But yes as stated it will only keep the honest person honest. Given a little time and tools most things can be stolen. Nice work tough.
Yea I park in my garage and at work its in a secure parking lot so mostly at grocery stores and gas stations is where it would be vulnerable.

Would that work with a comp, light and optic?

So the mount has different inserts for different guns, so I could switch from my 365 to my M18 just by swapping out the insert but from their website they say they're not compatible with flashlights yet but they're working on it.

Nicely executed! You do nice work. I went with the regular console vault. Bought directly from them rather than from Ford. If you leave the vault lid unlocked and twisted to the open position, the lid is spring loaded and will easily flip the armrest open for easy access without having use the digital lock while in the car. Personally I keep my firearm on me while in the car. I only use the vault if I have to leave my pistol in the car if I can't carry, such as the post office or my kids school.
So my main purpose was to leave it in the car when I get home (in the garage) so I dont have to bring it in and out of the house, just leave it in the truck and not worry about anyone of the kids getting ahold of it. And when I'm out and about I usually have it on me, so its not like I store it in there all the time, but yea like you said, usually on me.

We just had a rash of vehicle break-ins two weeks ago in my high rise - 18 cars in total, 12 trucks and SUVs. They were just looking for guns and didn't take anything else of value.

It is inside a locked Vehicle, inside the console. And secured in a mount. But yes as stated it will only keep the honest person honest. Given a little time and tools most things can be stolen. Nice work tough.

Nice. I just park my EDC in the door storage. It's typically on me when I leave the vehicle but I do leave it in the truck parked in the garage. I try and go to the range at least once a week so I may have multiple toys in the truck at any given time.

Has anyone seen anything like this for the Bronco? I had this in my old JK, but haven't seen anything similar. It was very sturdy when mounted but could easily be taken out when I didn't want it in there.

Anything that slows a thief down is good. Time is not on their side.

Nice install. Does it block access to the passivekey backup slot? Need that in case your remote battery dies.

No it doesn’t block that at all. I’ll see if I can get a picture later

I believe RedRock 4x4 makes something that may work.

Looks solid! I’ve been looking at different Gun Safes for my Bronco, and this setup looks like a great fit. The positioning keeps it accessible but still secure, which is exactly what I need. How’s the locking mechanism holding up over time? I’ve seen some others that start loosening after a while, so I’d love to know if it stays firm even with frequent use.

Not sure a determined lad with a crowbar couldn't get that thing out...
Have no indicators of a weapon in the vehicle...as in no NRA/Glock/Ruger/etc decals...
Unless they see you putting the firearm into the console, they would really have no reason to go mucking around.

I don't like having to lift the lid to access....

Several years ago I saw a holster setup that mounted to the bottom of the steering wheel but I'm not sure I have knee clearance...

Unfortunately, the area I travel in seems to be trying for homicide capital of the state. Drive-bys happen all too often...road rage a fact of life...innocent victims...

I'm still looking for a good answer...

We have apartments and restaurants hit all the time, regardless of the core crime level in the neighborhoods. Cops around here say many of the smash/grabs are on F-150s, where crims assume a gun is under the seat, in the (unlocked) console or glovebox - because they are often right. Locking up can’t hurt in these kind of quick hit scenarios.
