I found another Bronco with a "bubbling" or deformed hardtop. Looks like Ford is on par with random tourist trap toy stores. Although the toy mfg. nailed a consistent texture and color without any snakeskin. And I could probably bring it back without much hassle.

I wonder how long this thread has to go on before Ford does something at a level that fixes all the hardtops. Not just the new ones...but all the rest of us. What is it going to take Ford? I see you commenting on random owners new wheels, tires, and fuzzy dice to match their paint posts...when are you going to put in some real work?

Also, have done a bit of cross country travelling lately and still at 100 percent on the Broncos I have come across and had the chance to examine. I almost want to get my kid's Zink printer and sticker a picture on their window with a picture of the failure and Ford's customer service number but that is a real downer for everyone and I'm not thay guy...yet.

I've been wondering whether one of the ways these things get off the ground is by having somebody's warranty claim denied and them filing suit for discovery on how widespread the problem is. Because surely Ford is not going to volunteer that information.

Or having enough people write in to NHTSA to complain.

The biggest concern I have is what Ford's going to do with tops that start delaminating/cracking once the 3 yr/36k mile warranty runs out. Mine only became visible after 1-1/2 years.

This is mine. Ford is replacing the rear panels. Not the entire rear top.

You can’t separate the panels on the rear clamshell.
They will replace the entire clamshell for the issue shown in that picture.

Not my normal viewing channel but found a good review of the failing hardtop.

Also, update on mine. Still failing. Just getting better at failing. More cracks, all around the window and roof rack (I do not have one) mount points now. Area behind the passenger window has spread. Right around 4,400 miles on the odometer. Spent a couple months in Colorado at 9,000 feet. Still garaged daily.

I can only point it to stress cracks. I have been down this road more times than I care to speak of. Had a 2022 Outer Banks multiple replacements. So I thought I would start fresh. Just picked up a new 2024 Badlands, non SAS and under 1k miles and already have cracks showing on the driver side above the window. It is flimsy when produced, shipped in crates and banged around like a ragdoll on crack. My advice keep replacing before factory warranty runs out and maybe Ford will do the right thing and put a quality top on. Love this ride and willing to wait. Would have kept the 22 but extended warranty will not cover the top.

They did end up replacing the entire top. The body shop guy at ford had never replaced one. He kept telling me he was going to ask for certain panels. But ya, they put a entire new top on.

I've overlooked quite a bit. Box of rocks manual, scratchy interior, missing pieces I added after purchase, aluminum corrosion through paint on the doors, rattly windows, squeaky interior... but I oddly still like it. The other issues kind of blend together and disappear in the background but the hardtop issue is a sore thumb and something I cannot unsee everytime I walk out to the Bronco.

Hey Ford. You still paying any attention to this thread? Rear hardtop and now mid panel... but probably okay, right? I'll just keep it in the climate controlled garage. I have 6,000 miles on it now, so maybe I am driving it too much and it is my fault...

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Bronco concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
Hey Ford Motor Company. I posted an update for you. You have my number, my email, my address. Feel free to fix this. Actually, stop having the local Ford dealers harass me about having mobile service come out to warranty the seat belt... I know how to wear a seat belt. How about you have the local Ford dealers fix this? This matters more.
