So over the 2 or so years I've had the bronco I've had a number of times where I get back into the bronco and have the chime going off, and a look at the headlights show on in the dash, but the control is not lighting a position it is in. I will turn it to on, then off, then back to auto where I always leave it.

Now, two times I've caught it doing it on its own. Both times, I've pulled it out of the garage, then worked in the garage for a while, and the lights just came on.

So it's not my knee hitting the control as I get out. It's just the headlights turn on for no reason.

Is anyone else having this happen?

Yep- my 22 did the exact same thing. I would have it parked inside the garage our outside and when I randomly had to go back to it I'd sometimes find it with the lights on. Sometimes too after I parked it the lights would not turn off automatically and the chimes would just start going off. I had to manually turn the lights off. Brought it in and it had a defective light switch, replaced under warranty. No more issues since.

There are multiple threads on this. Fix seems to be a new headlight switch.

Thanks, I didn't find the threads in my search. The weird thing is it has happened since day one. So I guess I'll bring it in.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
