So when we get the call in May giving the estimated delivery, if we have an option on the order that will delay it into possibly a 2022 model , can the order be changed to possibly speed up the build and delivery?? My salesman has no answer on this.

You are able to make changes to your order until they generate a VIN number for your vehicle.

Yes. You can for sure leave options off, but I have heard it mentioned (can't remember from where) that it is preferable that you do not add options at that time. Probably because it's a bigger pain to deal with somehow.

No matter what, you should be able to make any change until you are assigned a VIN.
