Hello from NC!

I converted today at Crossroads Ford - Apex , No BS, quick and easy, also no discounts, but the sales guy who works with our company says he will try and get X-plan for me. I'm not holding my breath nor was I really expecting below MSRP, which is what I have.

Doc fee, NC road use tax, and tags were the only added stuff. About as short of a purchase order as you can expect. (I walked in with the order guide highlighted for them on the options and color, so no back and forth nor did they try).

They did talk up some paint protection stuff... but its not on the PO, so that's that..

I didn't get a clear answer to where I was on the waiting list, since I am ordering dual tops which are "late availability" that is the only item which lists that. Other than that it's pretty normal stuff on a badlands.

Now the waiting begins

Adding a point... apparently all the crossroads fords are completely different, I originally had the reservation at the one in WF, but moved it to work with our companies rep at the apex store. Ford refunded my $100 reservation fee when I moved the reservation.

Thanks for the update! I'm with CR Apex too. Good to hear the process was smooth. Waiting my turn to order...Who's the Bronco Specialist there?

I know I've seen some others from NC in various threads. I'm in the Raleigh/Durham area and have reserved a 2 door OBX at Crossroads Wake Forest.

Where are you in NC, what are you getting and what dealership have you reserved with?

What kind of a deal did they give you? I was originally with Asheville, but they wouldn't even commit to MSRP. So, I switched.

Good luck! The reservation I have in TX originally was in Kville. Could not get them to answer any questions at all, especially tying them down to any pricing.
I hope it works out for you well.

Sewell. In far west TX.
It was our intention (and one of the big reasons we transferred out there) to drive west from there, up the west coast, back across through Yellowstone and badlands.
Given the whole C-19 situation, roads being closed, businesses closed, public bathrooms at a shortage, etc, we opted to just drive back home in it now, take the trip hopefully later.
I have family in SE Texas, so we will meander that way and visit for a day or so, head back across to NC.

I'd get that MSRP in writing! They have no problem with "Market Adjustments". I once looked at a GT500 and the GM had no problem letting me walk then I scuffed at it. I intended to drive it off the lot at MSRP + ADM B.S. I'm sure they found some sucker to take it but assured NONE of my money will ever come their way.

Figured I would post. I converted my reservation to an order this weekend. I decided to stay with Huntersville Ford. I worked with Keith Hoffield the GM and he was great to work with. They were willing to work with me and they gave me good offer on my trade, even forward looking to the time that I will actually bring it in. They are asking for a $500 deposit, which seems fair to me. Keith was very transparent and up front. My order is below:

Cooper Ford in Carthage is the way to go!! Fingers crossed I'll be driving that 4dr, SAS, OBX out of there this Summer. Of course the the way the reservation game is going I may have a better shot at winning the PowerBall.

i am in charlotte. i selected Huntersville Ford. got the email from ford that i would get a call from the dealer to place my order. almost 2 weeks ago and havent gotten a call from the dealer yet.
i will be ordering a badlands 4 door sasquatch.

I finally (since August) heard back from Huntersville where my 2nd, later res is at.
I even emailed them about a week before solidifying my day 1 res at an out of state place with no reply.
I told them I had a day #1, currently out of state but would be more than willing to transfer to them IF they could reply, in writing, that they would have no ADM, no required add-ons such as paint protection, and to state what their Doc fee would be.
Told them I wanted to pay for the vehicle, destination, taxes, tags, and Doc fee of $150 only, as that is the deal I have elsewhere. If they would match it, I would transfer and order from them.
Nothing.
So now a few weeks after converting to order that day #1 res (out of state), they call me last night about my res I have with them, guy on the line says
"Hey, calling to see if we can convert that."
"Well, it's my 2nd one and I'm unsure yet if I am going to convert it. I have until March to make my mind up for sure. I tried to get you guys to get my earlier res, but you wouldn't respond. I've sent 4 emails to you at various times since August and called twice with no one to return any of it. I'll let you know."
"Well, then it looks like we are going to skip you, and you will lose your place in line if you don't convert today."
I laughed a bit and said " no, that's not how that works. it is based on reserve timestamp, not order timestamp, and I have until March."
"No sir, you don't. If you don't convert tonight you will not only lose your place but we will cancel your reservation."
"Oh really?! You don't have the right to cancel my reservation without my approval. If it is cancelled I will be on the phone with Ford first, your manager 2nd. I have until March to decide what I want to do with the 2nd one. I can assure you now it won't be with Huntersville now. If I see it is cancelled I will drive down there and talk with the GM after I place a call to Ford. You may want to brush up on how this is supposed to play out with reservists and what rights they have before making any more calls."

I wish I had gotten his name.

^^ what a bone head. Sad to see some dealers playing these kind of games but it is no surprise.
