Spare brake light only illuminates when in accessory mode. Once car turns on, tire light and above tire light don’t work when brake is pressed. Any help is appreciated!

Have you made any Forscan mods to it?

And have you checked with it in gear running?

No Forscan mods, and yes while in gear and brakes are pressed nothing happens.

I'm guessing there is an adapter harness for the wheel stop light you bought that plugs into factory harness somewhere.

Where does it plug in??

I fed the wires from the spare to the plastic compartment on the right side of the interior part of the tailgate- these are the instructions from stickerfab where I got the product.

Have you tried putting it back to stock to see if the high-mount taillight works as expected without the tire light?

I have a suspicion it is wrong farther up the wiring harness.

Yes, I put it back to factory and everything works properly. I use the adaptor for the spare light and only works in accessory.

Theory busted. So moving on...

So the yellow/grey wire on the factory harness should line up with the positive red wire on the adapter. The black/green wire on the factory harness should line up with the negative black wire on the adapter. It probably is... if it wasn't the LEDs would be reversed biased and not work. But double check it.

And another thing to try: Does it work properly while leaving the factory high-mount stop lamp unplugged?? Effectively only using the tire light.

Should let us know when you figure it out.
