Help with floor jack "adapter"

I rotated my wheels today, and I was annoyed to find that my floor jack won't fit on the rear axle tube on the driver's rear -- the saddle is too wide to fit and not hit various things welded to the tube.

I was trying to find some kind of "adapter" for the floor jack. Something that will sit on the saddle of the jack nicely with a wide base and have a smaller footprint that needs to be in contact with the axle/vehicle. I got a bit stumped trying to find something (other than tons of pinch weld adapters, hah) that looked like what I wanted.

Any of you Bronco DIYers have something you use you can recommend?

I use an old scissors jack. Aluminum base added for stability. Channel iron cut out for axle cradle and bolted to top of jack.

Considering that's not the jacking point... I'm an idiot.

Pictures would help, though, because I don't recall having that problem or running into any need to do that.

Also, 2x4s and 4x4 posts/scrap are handy tools to keep around.

I also use a little piece of 2x4 to solve this problem, though it's not ideal because it's easily moved and thus you have to fiddle with positioning, the pine is too easily crushed, etc.

I have a 2" lift and realized my stock jack wouldn't work anymore. I run a machine shop, so I made a 2" puck with a lip on one side and castellations on the other that I keep in the truck for emergency use.

I had to look that up:

noun: castellation; plural noun: castellations: defensive or decorative parapets with regularly spaced notches; battlements.

That's a heck of solution

Yup, the 2x4 was the solution today, but I'd prefer a nice chunk of shaped metal for all those reasons.

Hockey puck. Using pucks on jack saddle for years to jack up 3 Jeeps, 2 Big (5gen) Broncos and now my FE 6gen Bronco. Good luck.

Have to be a bit careful as it sometimes wants to try to cock out while lifting, but does the trick better than a handful of 2x4's. I only use one extension at a time - the pic on amazon shows them stacked... you could do that, but ... don't.

I have deep respect for the 2x4 solution, and that is still my go-to. But I think i was up to needing to stack 1 4x4 + 2 2x4's on my jack if I wanted to get it up high enough to get a jack stand under the frame to do suspension work. It ... worked... but only in that mousetrap contraption kind of way that sometimes gets people hurt.
