How bad is the damage if my (2)front MICs pieces get stolen?

I have a 2dr, and leave my front panels in the back all the time.
But, they’re in the bag, and the bag is clipped in and strapped down.
A pain in the ass to steal if you don’t know what you’re doing and the alarm is going off.

I went this route because I didn’t want my Daughter handling the panels and they take up too much room in an already limited space.

I had this fear earlier today and I have a 4 door with the mid and back on. I’m still nervous someone will go in the trunk somehow and steal them.

Hard top has been on mine for about 5 days since early May.
Have a broncover in the back for emergency.
Hasn't been used yet.
Has been dry here in Wisconsin. Grass is brown.
Been almost a month since I mowed my lawn.

Perfect for top off cruising but not so great for crops.
Finally getting some rain today

I got caught in a heavy downpour with a Jeep years ago. Not fun!
It's much easier to monitor weather now.
WeatherBug app is pretty accurate and notifies me when rain is coming

Weather cover from Broncover.com. Take it with you when the tops are off on those long trips. I have one, and it solves the problem.

Put air tags between the insulation and the plastic. My 'neighbor' did that.

Looks like people have already covered the gist.

The answer is, for all feasibility's sake, the MIC is irreplaceable, especially the parts. I think only a crazy person (or someone with way too much money) would purchase a factory hard top (or the pieces) after the fact.

The front panels are the easiest to take on and off. If you are parking somewhere questionable, just toss them back on. You wouldn't even have to fully clamp it down, but just in a couple spots.

PA is same way, I bought the sunrider top to deal with this... Now I wish Besttop would come up with some "soft doors" for the Bronco that I could store in back!!!!

Had somebody crawl under my 95 Jeep and steal my driveshaft in the middle of the night one time, using a sawzall or whatnot to cut it out. Seems like putting those panels in a nice bag with a handle and driving around is asking for someone to test the "will someone steal them" theory.

Part of what sold me on the BD was washout interior. I leave my panels at home 90% of the time. If theres a chance I may get rain at work I'll toss em in the back. Other than that I keep a towel in the glovebox.

Like that soft door idea a lot, maybe something for the top to have structure, but maybe that can be folded or rolled in the back to save some storage space.

I’ve been wanting those real donut doors since 2020 and have literal tunnel vision for them. Now, you’ve given me something else to lust over, so thanks for that! Ha!
