Ford has communicated to my dealer today that my 4 month old top does not carry a warranty.

Not that I violated any of their policies, that they replaced the first under original 36k mile bumper to bumper, the next top was under replacement parts warranty and now this new Ford top has no warranty???

They 'kindly' offered to pay 65% of replacement for another top... with me being out $2,500 plus install costs ($500+).

I plan on having a call with Ford later today.

Anyone have an idea or suggestion on how Lemon Laws work for a vehicle that I bought new in March '24 and has ~39,000 miles on??

If they are willing to sell you the colour matched painted hardtop for 65% off then I would go for it.

Otherwise it sounds you're getting hooped.

Yeah, that is the Mic top and only for the back shell. The windows, insulation and back hatch would all have to be moved from the old top.

FYI- painting a color match or black shell isnt cheap either...

Only get the painted shadow black top or painted body color top. Don't even waste your time with the MIC.
No problems yet but I have seen other Broncos near me with the tops going bad. I wish I had gotten the painted hardtop.

Currently have a 24 Bronco with soft top, thinking about trading it in for a higher trim level with a hard top. How common are the cracking issues on the latest models? I see videos of the tops cracking and having to be replaced only to have it happen again. Just curious to how widespread this is and if it is a big concern. Thanks

From what I've seen on the forums, the MIC hardtop issues were really common on the '21 and '22 models, but Ford supposedly updated the prepphased material for the newer ones. There are still occasional quality control complaints, but it's definitely not as widespread now as it was during the launch years.

There are plenty of us that have no issues. 2022 that lives outside 100% of the time and it is fine. Will it be that way forever, maybe not but no issues so far.
