Never thought about an extended warranty before reading this thread. I only bought one and it was for my wife’s Ford Tempo back in mid-1980’s. That engine needed a valve job at 18k miles, a real lemon. But dealer conjured up some lame excuse how the warranty didn’t apply. So I bought the warranty for nothing. Really a bad experience.

You all have given me something to think about.

One of those things where you hope you never need it, but is there if you do! Outside the technology piece I mentioned earlier, someone else's comment on the hard top leaking is another good warranty item that could pop-up. Heck, they claim you can rinse out these vehicles with the drain plugs in the floor... What if some water gets into something it shouldn't? Never know... it could be something stupid that none of us have thought of yet nor would expect. Peace of mind is worth a few bucks in my books.

It's gonna buzz and rattle like a mofo for one.

Also probably gonna be some random but common issue that takes a dozen trips to the dealer just to be told "we couldn't replicate the problem" or "there's currently no fix for this".

Still likely to be better than the competition though 🤷

I want to preface this concern by saying it's pretty baseless. But the frameless doors give me concerns about the windows leaking. Or even having them break // get damanged if something (like a strap from a RTT) is dangling in the door opening

The biggest issue will be people’s unreal expectations.

My fiance has a 2018 F150 and the APIM module went bad. Of course it's out of warranty and it hasn't been worth the cost to replace it. Apparently this is a common problem. Hoping they got this fixed with the Sync 4 upgrade but I'm not holding my breath. He's not waiting for a Ford replacement and instead going with this. Just gotta get that bitcoin moving back up first....

Hopefully by the time I get my 22MY there will be an after market version for the Bronco and I may just avoid the eventual crash and get this installed shortly after I get it.

I did notice with the soft tops that ford placed a clear plastic "sticker" in the corners of the rear quarter panel apparently to prevent the paint from chipping off.

Hardtop and soft top leaks and noise issues. I won't care about those. But especially in a newly designed vehicle, and with some buyers coming in with car-like expectations and frame of reference, the removable tops will be complaint #1. (In fact the hardtop has already been an issue during production.)

Given that *every* vehicle has things about it that no manufacturer can seem to get right, what do people with a bit more Ford experience anticipate being possible common problems with our incoming trucks?

to be clear, this isn't meant to be a 'bash-every-manufacturer' thread, just curious what people might have insight on.

...And I'm totally getting the warranty anyways. :-D

I'm guessing there will be a few minor bugs with sync4. Beyond that is anyone's guess
This for sure. Ford didn't even get the bugs out of Sync 3 before moving on to #4. But, after owning Fords with every version of SYNC I'm used to the glitches now. I've decided that the letters S Y N C means, "Shit, Your Not Connected". :)

It is just me or is the leather craftsmanship just not up to par? My Ford platinum has leather and they look as good as the Bronco and it is 7 years old. I know leather will show wear but it should be nice and tight to begin with.
