I thought the dealership would apply the $100 deposit toward my order but they said that was between me and Ford. Not the dealership.

deposit went to your originally reserved dealership, if that is not where you ordered then call original for refund.

i had to do this to get my refund


if it is where u ordered they owe you $100

Your dealer lied to you mine was applied to the purchase of my bronco on my sales order

As said, Ford corp processed the reservation and deposit, but forwarded that money directly to the dealership that the original reservation was made with.

It could be an honest mistake by the dealer... it would be easy for them to lose track of $100 deposited in their account from Ford over a year ago.

Politely point out that they are wrong.

I politely just had this conversation with the New Car Salesman manager. He said he is going to call Ford and confirm, and then call me back with an answer.

What bothers me is my salesman didn't know and didn't bother calling me back.

I get better information from you (and the internet) then my local dealer, and their pretty good.

My $100 reservation fee was refunded to me the same day that it was converted to an order. I didn't even have to ask.

The sales Rep finally got it cleared up. Apparently he got bum scoop from the upstairs people. Issue is resolved. The $100 will be added once the Bronco comes and they finalize the order.....about the same they "get" me to sign up for the "extended" warranty..... ;)

Closing the loop on my question.....The dealer waited on hold with Ford three times, and each time the call disconnected after 1 hour. Anyway, the dealer just credited it to the amount I have on deposit for my F250 order. Good enough for me, but how inefficient of a process.
