I spent two days in one in the blazing TX heat. I give the A/C an A+
I second this response. Wheeled one for two days in south Texas where it was 107 degrees one day. A/C = 👍🏼👍🏼

This might seem like an odd question but from what I've read with newer vehicles it would be a reasonable question.

I'm a member across several different vehicle makes/models forums and more and more I see posts regarding the A/C in new vehicles.

While I understand the newest refrigerant doesn't seem to cool as well as stuff from the years past, it also seems to be primarily on vehicles with large passenger areas that only have vents in the dash. Most common example would be crew cab pickup trucks.

So for those who have their Bronco or have done extensive test driving, how do you feel the A/C was?
It Cranks. And it doesn't slow the Bronco down at all even when it is cranking at Full Blast. About 10 minutes in you will probably have to turn it down a few notches because it will be very cold.

I live in Houston. I test drove it on a super hot day last week. AC was just fine.

it's ridiculous to the point where I need to point the vents away from me

So far the only issue I’ve had with mine was some weird AC activity.
3k road trip over 7 days. All +100° weather. The last 400 miles of the trip the AC would get super cold intermittently. Like noticeably colder than the 68° it was set at. Randomly it would just start blowing super cold for a few minutes and then go back to normal.
Been back a week and it seems fine now.

I remember R12 then changed to R134a in the early 90s , did it change again?

Yes it is now r1234yf and apparently under certain circumstances is flammable

So, when on full how loud is it? What about the dual climate control? When one is one hi or higher than the other and the other is set lower.

Random question but has anyone removed the front vents for any reason?

I may or may not have tried to put one of the “clip vent phone holder” things on a vent and pressed a little too much and pushed a couple “fins” inwards and it wont rotate in one direction. Still works and blows cold, just kicking myself for doing that.
