I’m going to get the 2.7 and then swap out the turbos for something 3 times it’s size and then tune it with some headers and an exhaust. Lol that would be sweet.I want someone to get a bone stock base 2 door, add auto+2.7 and tune the shit out of it.
That would be a hysterical sleeper.
My 19’ Challenger is the same way, needs a new ECM.This issue is/was all '21+ Fords are capable of OTA updates so they are locked down much tighter now with encryption and other security measures. The C7 ZR1 and C8 as well as 19+ GM trucks are having to go through the same thing. Currently the ECM has to be removed and sent to HP to be unlocked before it is able to accept being flashed through the OBDII.
I just found this article stating Ford is willing to work with the aftermarket though which is a good sign. HP Tuners is at the forefront software wise. I've had great experience with them

Jeep Wranglers since 2015 have had to send out the PCMs as well. The manufacturers are getting pretty sophisticated in their tune locks, but the OTA will make them much harder. I doubt HP tuners will be given access since their whole goal is to allow users to modify what they need. My buddy at HPT said they are already at work on it, although I don't know if they have a PCM from Ford or another source or what....This issue is/was all '21+ Fords are capable of OTA updates so they are locked down much tighter now with encryption and other security measures.
