Yeah no carpet. I'm constantly in sand and gravel from fishing, shooting and other outdoor activites, I want an easy to clean interior.
Really hoping for this too for the same reasons, if I wanted something tame I'd get a civic and worry about getting it dirty. But I also don't want a pickup truck per say

Take the roof and doors off, tie dead deer to roll cage, drive home with blood pouring all over you... screaming about demons the whole time.

Mentally scar all.the.people you can.

The new Bronco looks amazing. Home run, for the most part, with the exception of the manual not coming with the 2.7.

I was hoping theyā€™d drop a bomb and announce the Bronco pickup at the same time. I think theyā€™ll eventually release one but my old Tacoma wonā€™t last that long. For those that want an SUV, this thing is going to be amazing. Unfortunately, I just canā€™t live without a truck bed...and the Broncoā€™s 3500lb tow rating doesnā€™t help either. A dead deer or stinky ice auger and jerry cans or firewood just donā€™t work in an SUV. Iā€™ve been trying to convince myself otherwise for a long time, but I have to buy with my head and not my heart.

Ordering a 2021 ZR2 in the next couple days. I know itā€™s a Chev but Iā€™ve test driven them all in the last few months, tried to have an unbiased open mind, and it just checks all the boxes...naturally aspirated V6, no driver aids/nannies/safety BS, off-road capable, good daily driver. Maybe Iā€™ll trade it for a Bronco pickup in 2025 or whenever Ford releases it. Based on what I see in the Bronco, itā€™s a no brainer for Ford, itā€™ll be another home run.

The bronco pickup doesnā€™t exist. The entire story of the Bronco pickup comes from one story from an analyst that guesses Ford will make a pickup bronco to compete with Gladiator. Thatā€™s it.

Ford isnā€™t doing that. They are investing their time and energy into ranger.

That's why I got the rubber floor with drain plugs. Mine will end up with a few dead animals in it. I've owned several blazers and after awhile they all smelled like a rutting buck.

I think it does exist, but hasn't been given a final greenlight.

I mean, you don't have to get an NA V6 in a ZR2.. it is also available as the only off-road capable turbodiesel until the Gladiators and Rubicons actually make it to your nearest mall parking lot.

If the 3.0 diesel makes it into in the Bronco, I'd be on it like stink on a banana.

I haven't hauled out a whole, or even quartered animal in over 20 years.
After finding the deer, (elk, antelope, etc), I skin the upper side of the animal as it lays, I then bone out just the meat putting it in bags. Roll the animal over and do the other side. It takes about a half hour more, (deer), or hour, (elk), to do but eliminates the need to dispose, drag, carry, or transport the carcass. I even do this if it is shot near a road. When you get home you can either butcher it yourself or have it processed. The only thing in your new Bronco is a few coolers.
I started doing this when the deer I shot was 5 miles from camp. I don't like to pack out parts of the animal that I can't eat.
100%. This is the way. Or at least every elk hunter I know out here in the west does it. Gutless Method. GTS.

Seats donā€™t fold flat, but they take about 20 minutes to remove and are easily stored. Suppose you could use seat mounting mounts for on of the 12v Atv winches and make the sled slide right up a couple of 2x10s for one person loading. Would get the rinse out interior though.

This right here.

Last year I got the opportunity to hunt out of the Bronco (red dot was the feeder location) and it worked great!

Having a cargo carrier makes it super easy to get the deer to camp so you can process it.
