Stop by the local dealer today. They had a Iconic Silver and Cactus Gray Sport in-stock. I definitely like the Iconic Silver better. Now my problem is they don't have Iconic Silver for the First Edition.

I definitely like the Iconic Silver
Iconic is definitely one of the very strong picks in a weak field. Won't clash with any interior accents & probably what I will order.

So, which top pairs best? Ford's Canadian colorizer shows both; they're close - but MOD (top image) probably wins by a nose:

I'm definitely going with the Black Mod Hardtop. I think it pops with the Iconic Silver paint. If you look at a few of the Mustang pics with Black stripping the combo looks awesome. Only bad part is late availability, but I think it's going to be worth the wait.

I'm the opposite... I like the durable textured of the MIC vs the glossy, warped, and scratch magnetic of the Painted black.

Me too. As much as I hope to be taking it offand putting it on the painted top will look like a cat used it as a scratching post

Great points, but chances of me taking the Hardtop or panels off are zero to none. Bought my Rubicon three years ago and have yet to take off Hardtop or panels. I guess when the weather is nice I jump on one of my Indian motorcycles. But I'm glad so many like the Gray MIC Hardtop as that bumps me up the list on the late avaiability Black Mod top.

I’ve been accused of having weird eyes.

like, a vw beetle is basically a 911 for example.

do the base steelies almost match the silver paint, thus is a good choice?

or is it a “basic” color and something like Rapid Red or VB would look better?

Looks like barely 2% of the orders as of yet in the other thread are Iconic Silver, which I'm glad of. We live on dirt and gravel roads, Silver works good if dust and dirt are a factor.

+1 and pin scratches as well. At this point I kind of like having a "unicorn" color that will also be one of the most practical and keep a consistent appeal for many years. IMO many "unusual" colors more often than not end up being a passing fad.

Someone thinks you're weird for seeing something that is more or less common knowledge? I mean the same guy literally designed both vehicles and the fundamental design language of the first 356 still lives in the 911 today.

My wife that doesn't give a shit about cars or automotive design thinks those cars look a like.

My brother is a 911 fanatic and refuses to acknowledge that.

Is iconic silver really as dark and sick as that Mach, or do u think they put special sauce in it for the EV

I don't know but it looks hot.

Usually silver on cars does nothing for me but that looks beautiful.

to be honest, it would be difficult to find a color that makes the Mach suck...but that's the same IS as Bronco

Has Iconic Silver been around since 2020? I would like to know how it ages by looking at vehicles on the road, but this video seems to say Ford switched from Ingot to Iconic in 2020.

I love how Iconic contrasts with the base red tail lights, I think it's such a sharp combination.
