OK, so my 2022 he’s going to have to go the Forscan route…..
So reading through various threads and their website it looks like I need to purchase the USB adapter, which I did. And then need to download the driver for the adapter and the software from the Forscan site…. It looks like you can get a free two month trial or purchase a one-year license for 10 bucks? Am I missing something or is this just way too simple when you actually look into it?

I had done everything in this thread. I have the infinity speakers like the OP. I did the Forscan change and didn’t feel like it did anything. Low and behold my jbl soundbar showed up today. I installed it without the dealer flash and it sounds just like the rears did originally. It is tinny and weak, just like stock only clearer. Better tweeters I assume. My conclusion is the Forscan mod does little to nothing. I will be calling the dealer for the flash tomorrow.
I think maybe the modular didn't write or you messed up somewhere...
It definitely does open it up. 👍🏻

I did check it before I programmed it back to stock. The one thing I notice was I could not move the balance left and right in the rear. Move the fader to the rear only, then move left and right. Both sides still playing. Changed forescan back to 382b from 3800 and I have left right control again. The change did something, just not what I wanted. Maybe because I was a late 21 build (November) I have different results.

So I finally got the adapter(vlinker) and tried out Forscan. The household pc was unavailable(wife took it to work), so I even got it running on my mac w/ the crossover app, thanks to some helpful posts.

Tried all the different mods indididually and combined:
380B & 3800 on 727-01-01
0900 & 0001 on 727-01-02

I’ll say it is very hard to compare the before and after differences when you make a change. The volume and fader reset, and seems like you have to input settings twice to take affect. Maybe just a slow reboot of the acm? Also trying to figure out the phone vs audio volume workings.

Anyway, the factory “tuned” as-builts sound slightly better to my ears right now. Supposed to get my s40 rears this afternoon. I’ll try again with those later. Already have them in the front.

That is pretty much it. Get one of the adapters that are recommended on the FORScan website, and the software is designed for Windows, you might get away with running a Windows emulator on Mac but not sure about that.

Edit on the Mac part, I see @Broncola got it to work, so it is possible.

Strange....I tested today, I have the 3800 mod programmed and I can move the fader all over with no restrictions. July 2021 build date. 🤷‍♂️

I made some changes, front 4" and rear pod 4" were changed to JBL GX series. Definitely made a difference in clarity..... I then changed one of the two kickpanel 6.5" speakers, and actually was disappointed. The stock 6.5 is mono, but is silk tweeter and not paper garbage like the 4". I really noticed zero difference when trying the JBL there. So I put the factory 6.5 back in.

Why spend money when it makes no noticeable difference right?

I will say this, the factory base system is absolute garbage. I had a Mustang Mach E 2021, and the base system was decent, not excellent but provided solid sound. This Bronco system is embarrassing.

My next step is either Forscan or the Factory soundbar flash upgrade. Just not sure if the dealer will do it without knowing I have the actual JBL soundbar...
That's interesting...on another thread (more specific to the BnO system, what I've ordered) someone noted that he felt upgrading the 6.5's was the best bang for your buck upgrade. I still don't have a Bronco so feverishly reading and shopping Crutchfield to find the best value upgrades. At the moment I think I'm steering towards upgrading the L/R dash with something fancy, moving the old dash 4" 2ways to the rear pods and dynamat/polyfilling everything.

So, with a blend date and window sticker now in hand, I am going to move on ordering some upgraded speakers. Does the original poster or anyone else have an opinion strongly one way or they other between the Infinity speakers and the Kenwood
KFC-1066S available through Crutchfield. Similarly priced (inexpensive) speakers.

Not an audiophile, so not great at interpreting the tech specs. The Kenwoods are 4ohm impedance vs 3 ohm for the Infinitys. The infinitys handle 35 W RMS, and the Kenwood 21. 88db sensitivity on Kenwoods vs 92 on Infinity. Frequency response 75hz-21khz on Infinity, and 50hz to 22khz on Kenwood.

My guess is that these are probably pretty comparable but just wondering if anyone has strong thoughts one way or the other. Thanks

You will probably be happy with either. Both are good choices. I went with the Infinities because of their 3 ohm rating. I think they will both out perform our head units.
