Dealers took deposit on the mannequin Sports before being able to "sell" them. In the case of the Sports, it was the only way to get the power moonroof as it had a commodity restraint for the initial wave of orders.the VIN does not come up as a sport. Do they think they can sell their FCTP when it hits the lot?!
Nothing prevents a dealer from selling a mannequin before the minimum, 7-month in-service period required by the Bronco FCTP Accessory “Mannequin” Program, but there is a penalty if they do.the VIN does not come up as a sport. Do they think they can sell their FCTP when it hits the lot?!

That’s how it’s supposed to work, so if they do that, there is no penalty. Then again, having it on the lot as a conversation piece will probably be worth it for 7 months and then sell it for a decent profit right before Christmas. I suspect this is some kind of contingency sale gimmick.
Beck in Palatka did this with their Sport mannequin. They had taken a deposit on it and held it for the required duration. It was a Badlands with the optional Badlands package. Then again, having it on the lot as a conversation piece will probably be worth it for 7 months and then sell it for a decent profit right before Christmas. VIN: 1FMEE5DH3MLA62934 looks real. What's are your thoughts on this one.....
