Is 2026 Bronco refresh really going to include rectangular headlights?

Maybe some people are just hung up on a number vs driving a vehicle that has the same or more power out of it.

I've had two V8 and the two Ecoboost V6s I've had since that don't make me miss it at all.

This is about as stupid as people who are hung up on EVs.
LOL, this made me laugh and I was going to stay mute on the past few posts on my thread until I saw your mention the EV angle. As the OP of this entire thread my other car (really my wife's daily) is a Mustang... actually a Mach E GT Mustang that is lol (BTW, I personally wish they left the word ":Mustang" out of the name as I think that is the only hate it gets) But... yes it is faster then about any other production Mustang out there while having 50K miles in just 2.5 years of ownership with the only thing done to it is new tires. So yeah there are a few "pros" to owning an EV... But I digress.

See that is the problem-People get so myopic about things-the Bronco doesn't really need a V8 in it-yeah it would be cool, but at the same time more or less pointless vs what you get already.

Then whole engine size thing-wife went from a 2.0L Ecoboost to the 1.5 in her Bronco Sport. I heard lots of complaints about the engine being rough etc-never experienced anything like that and the power from it is perfectly fine and almost identical to the 2.0L ecoboost for around town driving. There are some differences at higher speeds, but nothing major. My wife went from filling up every week or so to every other week with it, so she's really happy with it.

Then whole EV hate thing I just don't get. I also get that some cars should have a V8 in them like a Mustang due to sound and feel that is part of their branding. I like the Mach E myself-I wouldn't mind getting one as my next car in a few years or another Mustang Coupe. I think I'll keep my Bronco a long time since I barely have that much milage on it and I might be able to make it last till I retire in 15 years or so lol

Just curious if the comments and renderings concerning the mid cycle refresh are true regarding the move from round to square headlights, or is that just speculation.... Personally I am hoping the latter, since if true it would immediately date all older model Broncos. The real losers would be the 2025 models as right now my 2021 looks nearly identical to a 2025. Anyway headlights are a major design feature on any car that I think is best left for a generation change...

“Dating older models” is only important if you want to sell and you think it reduces your selling price. Otherwise, to me, it’s just a bad change that takes away from Ford’s salute to the Bronco’s original retro style.
On the other hand, maybe it’s Ford’s intent to move on from it’s homage to the original classic Bronco style.

Pretty sure thats all speculation and click bait. I dont believe Ford has released anything. Have they even said anything about a refresh?
Ford intimated that a refresh would occur in late '24 for MY25 several years back. This was also based on a timeline where the next Bronco model was set to arrive around MY28. So it would make sense that a light facia update would have happened either last year or this year. But I read last year that rumor was Ford might have pushed the new model back to MY30, so if that's the case, I would think we'd see a facia update this year or next following the interior updates in MY25. But who knows...

Ford recently announced the 2026 Bronco EV in China, which seems to be in between a Sport and Full Size.

I would say the headlights are squarish.

Messing around with the Ford website today (slow day). I don't understand why they've made some of the changes/requirements that they have for a custom order. Where is the "Roast" interior color? Why does the $300 brush guard require the Sas package on the Badlands? You can get the modular bumper non-sas, but the brush guard requires the upgrade to Sas (and cost). I don't see aux switches anywhere as an option (those now standard?)

I think Ford should tier their order streams. I get it if some options are not popular, but why not tell the customer that if they want, say, rear locker on the OBX without having to go full Sas, then it could take an additional 6 weeks to manufacture.

Mine is a year old, yet can't be replicated now? It's a non-sas OBX with rear locker, modular and brush guard. Otherwise pretty standard across the board (Lux).

I've received nothing but compliments on the "roast" color scheme too. Why eliminate it completely? It's all black, or...black. I don't get it...
When I took my Bronco in to the dealer to get the window flop SSM done, the service writer told me "You got the good interior".
Love my Roast interior.

You were the one that brought the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) as the reason, which is all about the numbers, then contradicted yourself several times and now talking about numbers vs driving the vehicle. I'm not even going to call the conversation stupid, but...

What the f are you talking about?

CAFE is the primary reason why the V6 has been dropped from trims and why a V8 isn’t in the Bronco, outside of it not needing it.

As for the V8 thing-it’s part of the Mustangs DNA as a performance vehicle, no so much the Bronco where it is just a manhood compensation device IMO.

Not to mention one of the primary rumors with the upcoming Mustang sedan is to lessen its impact CAFE wise due to having a longer wheelbase and thus a bigger CAFE footprint

Maybe try following along a bit better next time

It's Chinese, we don't allow their cars in our country. We tried to bring a model that is similar to the one we are about to build into the country and were not allowed to even bring it through port. We sent it to our Mexico plant. I understand they don't meet our crash ratings. (Mainly structural support.)

How is that? Ford has a ton of vehicles they don’t sell in the US on US roads for testing.

Like this Chinese market Ford Evos aka Mondeo Sport now

Like I said, the Chinese vehicle does not meet our safety standard, the one from ford they don't sell here has to for them to road test it.

Right I get that but its not hard to get it crash certified either. Plus going on the sketchy info we have, The new energy Bronco appears to be built off the same T6 platform that the Old Energy Bronco and Ranger is.
