FYI - Due to the slight variations in the lower shock mount angles these JCR shock skids can be off from being lined up with the shock. After sending photos and emails of how crooked the passenger side skid is on my Bronco Mitchell at JCR said “ I don’t see an issue with that” . He doesn't see an issue with the skid mounting crooked, but some of us probably do. The angle also puts the skid closer to the trailing arm, whether it’s stock or aftermarket like mine.

Yes it is. And because of the height of the skid, just a slight difference at the mount makes a big difference at the angle of the skid …. But JCR/Mitchell doesn’t see any issue with it lol 🤪

The shorter skids made by other manufacturers won’t be nearly as effected by the mount angle variations, and wont interfere with the trailing arm.

What is the cause of that? Were the bolt holes placed improperly or is it just tweaked and if you hit it a few times with a dead blow hammer you can fix it?

Pretty much the same response when I mentioned the camera relocate brackets weren't aligned and the camera cable being 20' was ridiculous. Yea there have commented about the winch plate not aligning as well.
It would be bette if the response wasn't a shrug their shoulders.

Does it affect function or is it esthetics only ?

I'm curious about your lift setup you have. The truck seems to be pretty high and at an interesting angle compared to the garage door.

JCR has a bad reputation in the jeep world...seems like they are getting there for Broncos too. I would be careful of their products.

Have you checked the angle at ride height? the Track bar tends to pull the axle to one side when lifted all the way up

It will rub against the trailing arm at full droop. Not just esthetics.

Been in the Jeep world for years and have never heard of this "bad reputation". Would be interested to hear/see some examples of this. Disappointing to hear they don't think a very obvious manufacturing defect is worth replacing

You must mean compression because it is a full droop now. On a lift with the wheels off the ground. Full droop.

I was in the jeep world for a long time..not on the forums for a couple of years since I got rid of my LJ...but a quick Google search:

https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/jcr-not-standing-behind-their-part.38020/

https://www.wranglerforum.com/threa...nce-is-turning-out-to-be-frustrating.1224065/

https://www.jeepforum.com/threads/how-does-jcr-offroad-stay-in-business.1091425/

I remember many more from back in the day...but I am sure your own google browser works good enough for a quick search.
