JL Audio Stealthbox subwoofer enclosure for Bronco now available

The new amp arrived yesterday and got it all installed yesterday evening. Did some fine tuning on my setting and overall very happy with how it sounds now. Hits surprisingly hard for the size of it and I attempted to record a couple clips. The first one is with only the sub playing and the second is with the whole system on. Same song on both.

I want to order two of these JL stealth box so I can mount 1 to the left and 1 to the right

Won’t work, the driver side has less room, you could always have a custom box and panel made for the driver side.

What is the sku for the 2DR? Has anyone installed it in the 2dr?

I was told by Sound of Tri-State that there is only a single SKU and it is designed to fit both the 2-door and the 4-door.

I placed an order with Sound of Tri-State on June 28th. They are listed on JL's website as a "Signature Dealer". They are incredibly quick to reply...generally within a few minutes. I e-mailed them earlier today regarding my order status and they immediately replied with:

"July 6th our rep replied, "B-F-BRONCG6/10TW1 is currently being built. ETA is scheduled for the end of July at this point."
I am hoping within the next two weeks. We are pretty excited to see these in person.

Hello Aman, both those designations (94718 and B-F-BRONCG6/10TW1) are for the same enclosure. We only have one Stealthbox option and it should fit both the 2 door and 4 door models.

I've got an order open with Tri-State for about a month now (since 6/15), I just called today and it's still on backorder status with no ETA on actual shipment date but they were going to contact JL for an update.

They are building these to order, I don’t expect its going to improve at all for those waiting for stock, this is likely not going to be a “stock” item given the market size and price point which has shrunk it even further.

Since my car stereo guy doesn't doesn't rep JL anymore, I went to my home audio guy that does. Unfortunately they won't let him sell it, as they don't let the home guys sell car audio and vice versa. They did tell him it is 2 months out and told him it was "leaked on a Bronco forum". So I'm not sure what good ordering now does anyway. Guess I'll wait for the official launch.

Makes sense why everywhere I call says they can't get it its been 2 months, release it!!!

The dealer I ordered from in Iowa City called me a few days ago and said they expect it to arrive sometime in the next 10 days or so.

Id sell mine for cheap. Only issue is a couple small cracks from where I put in the thread inserts for the B&O amp. Nothing a hot glue gun couldn’t fix.

I might be interested in that. Do you plan on listing in the marketplace?

Picked mine up yesterday. That was a pretty solid wait. Not installed yet.

Looks Good. Mine 100% looks like this but the panel is no where close to fitting. Not sure what is going on. I pulled it out and am going to go a different route. Perhaps this is just due to poor production tolerances in the Bronco or JL unit (or maybe even my Bronco Raptor) since the top of the enclosure hits the contour of the panel. Its not even close. The enclosure would have to be a good 2 inches shorter to fit. Ive had a few stealth boxes over the years and this is the only time I have had fitment issues.

It’s unfortunate as I don’t think I will be able to return it since I used thread inserts to mount the B&O amp. JL gives you self tapping sheet metal screws to mount the B&O amp which just turns the fiberglass to dust and offers no mounting strength. Anyone want to buy a JL Bronco StealthBox complete with thread insert for mounting the B&O amp

How good does the JL sound? It seems one small 10" just isn't enough for a Bronco...
