Will JL Audio XD700/5v2 fit in the 2023 ford bronco subwoofer enclosure ?

Will JL Audio XD700/5v2 fit in the 2023 ford bronco subwoofer enclosure with like some additional backboard or something? Will the panel close properly? The dimension of the amp is : 10-1/4" L x 7-1/8" W x 2" H.

I don't think it will fit. I tried mounting my Musway 8.6 x 5.9 x 1.7 on a 1.2" backboard and the panel would not fit. The cupholder section is set in pretty deep. Below is what the mounted amp looked like.

No. Not at all. I have it in my 4 door.

I had to put it on the driver's side under the panel. If I had a tow package it wouldn't have fit, but it worked fine, albeit super, super tight.

What are you running for a sub for that 5 channel, a tailgate sub?

Not using a tailgate sub. Wanted to do something similar to what @jayr1959 mentioned above. Where did u fit it in driver side panel? how does tow package make it not fit? Lastly, how do u like the sound? Did u use it with or without dsp?

I put it against the back side behind the wheel well almost against the 'wall' where the tailgate opens. there is a cubby like space in there. Had to do some fab to secure it and run the wires nicely. It's a VERY tight fit and I would look for an alternate place if I did it again but I was already in for a penny so...

The tow package has a module that is inside that same open space. Without it we benefit.

It's hard to determine sound for me, but it's fine for I have. If I had to do it again I'd have kept my original amp, the audiocontrol 650.5 marine. Very close in spec and about half the price.

Ah i have a tow package and its a no go for me there then. Wonder if the sub enclosure for b&o will have more depth since it has a bigger amp. Thinking that may make a diff. Otherwise, probably move the sub to tailgate which i really dont want to do. Heh

Anyone know if the amp will fit if i purchase a B&O sub enclosure?

I have a JL HD900/5 and audio control LC7i mounted to a board in the stock sub location. Had to angle the amp to clear the panel and not pinch the wires. Required moving it a few times to get it right but it fit eventually.

for reference according to alpine the dimensions of just the amp are:

• 11.4375"W x 2.125"H x 7.5"D

My board was made to mount vertical. This would make it so much easier. Guess Im off to the hardware store to get some L brackets I can bend.

I have a tailgate mounted box with a JL 13tw5. I already had the sub from a Jeep stealthbox.

i'd bet you can still get the amp in there. ive since added another sub amp and another 10" JL as the 1 just wasn't doing it. i have a 2 door so my luggage space is now just the back seat.
