I have not had or heard of a problem concerning this

A healthy battery (traditional lead acid) will rest at 12.6 volts (as it has 6, 2.1 volt (resting) cells in series), charging will be around 13.6 to 14.6 volts. Our Broncos have an AGM battery that should rest around 12.6 to 12.8 volts and will vary wildly during a charge.

Any amp Audison makes for a 12 volt environment will be just fine, their reference to 15 volts accounts for a high output alternator under a heavy charge cycle with a high peak.

There are some amps that will run at 18 volts that are used in Sound Pressure Level competitions to minimize voltage loss and drop effects.

@JP Fabrication

I’m about to pull the trigger on the JL 10TW3 D4 and a 500w 2Ohm amp.

Seeing as this almost mirrors your low end setup, how do you like it? Over/underpowered? Is your box sealed? .6cuft?

Thanks!
