Guess my point was no need for it and I’ve noticed my mpg was a good amount worse before I realized you can put it back to 2H plus I know “4A only engages when slipping” I disagree and could feel the torque steer just my observations
Yeah it engages all the time. Mine has a power distribution screen on the dash and the fronts light up to varying degrees as I accelerate. The power is always going back and forth. You can see it in real time.

Still think that getting the wiring harness fix (AutoStartStopEliminator) is the easiest and best solution. It allows you to re-enable it if desired for some reason and reliably stays off.

I tried ForScan and ended up getting a barrage of errors from the Bronco. 2-3 days in the Service Department fixed it, but I had lost my desired Fog Light settings and it reintroduced the Double-Honk.

You could have just restored her as-built data to that module you changed it on and it would have fixed it. Then just redo the Bambi mode and double honk.

The best hack is the manual transmission, as long as you have the clutch engaged it won't turn off. The few times that I've had to wait long enough to put it in neutral and it kicks in all I have to do is re-engage the clutch and it fires up before I usually have it back into first. Ultimately I'll get the Ford tune, which removes the ASS and adds a few benefits such as extra HP and rev match for us manuals.

Someone said if you plug in a trailer connector that the ASS is disabled.

Yes, I could have. Unfortunately, my 'backup' went away with a colleague's laptop. He offered to help me out then was largely unavailable to help restore any backup or reset my desired settings.

as-built can be restored from the internet automatically by FORScan. You don’t need to do anything. It will do it for you if the as-built is not saved in the correct directory under forscan.

How does that work?
When you try to restore the as-built data for a module, it will see if you have it locally. If not it will ask you if you want to download it from the ford servers. And it will download it for you.

yup there is an aftermarket plug eliminator for that just like OBD plug. I have to hit my R button every time, its the same stupid non memory issue, but have ASS tied to that being off soo theres that.

I don’t feel it’s a good thing to be in 4A out on bare roads so now every time it ask to stay in sport you hit that then it says shifting to 4A then you have to hit 2H says shifting to 2H the whole thing is just wonky imo
170k miles on my F150 in 4A. The usefulness and durability of the technology is independent from users feelings.

I installed the FPP tune and it stays off or on however you like it without pushing any buttons on restart.
